The life group services the Auto-Owners Life Insurance Company, including life, disability, health, and annuity policies. The life system, CAPSIL, is a purchased product and is maintained by the life systems group. Capsil is primarily an online system with some automatic batch processing. The functions performed by Capsil include: new business, renewal, policy pages (declaration pages), commissions, accounting, financial reporting, reinsurance, reserves, and billings, just to name a few. The life application on the web, LifeWebEZ, is developed and maintained in house by the life web systems group, who are just about the coolest cats you will ever meet, seriously they rock. LifeWebEZ is a completely online system for agents to quote and submit new business.

Life company primary users are Life/Health Policyholder Services, Life/Health Product Services, Annuity Services, and Life Underwriting. We work with Life Solutions on most of our CAPSIL enhancement and web projects.

In the coming future A-O like to spread their wings by expand their Farm and Inland Marine services in all A-O defined states. Farm and IM Systems are built of Web EZ and USYS applications, and part of the Personal Property System. Web EZ and USYS application are allowed to key policies, online background rating to rate our policies, batch processing to complete policies, print declarations, and prepare policies for renewal.
