WORK EXPERIENCE;

Field Health and Safety Officer/ Supervisor,

Petrofields and Services Ltd. Rumukurushi, Rivers State

Responsibilities:(Duties performed but not limited to)

Review, update, recommend and assist to implement the current QHSE management system (ISO 45001) of the company, ensure general compliance to legal standards, enforce of regulatory regulations, develop strategies to manage change and ensure there are action plans on ground to cover emergency.

Prepare Job Scope, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessment documentation for field operations and ensure proper compliance of Job Hazard Analysis/ Assessment (JHA), Safe System of Work (SSW), Permit to Work (PTW) and other Safety/ Risk Management Tools are observed for each of the field operations.

Provide technical safety and health support and information to all employees and ensure compliance to Company and Client’s QHSE Management Policy, plan, safety code and Procedures at all times especially while performing field operational activities.

Perform job site inspections before and after operations, identify and assess hazards in place and unsafe conditions while putting suitable controls in place timely through reports to management, advice for corrective actions, effective communication, notice, training and enforcement.

Actively monitor, supervise field Jobs and manage all HSE matters at the various production platforms during the meter proving exercise to ensure its done inline with the specified scope of work and procedures while observing all safety code and precautions avoiding unsafe acts and conditions for safe execution and job delivery for our various clients including Addax & Agip, and recommend strategies to avoid all accidents.

Investigate immediate and root causes of incidents and prepare investigation reports while maintaining/ updating a risk register with mitigation plans and reviewing QHSE risk assessments to avoid re-occurrence and escalating where appropriate.

Encourage the workforce to timely report any potential hazard and suggestions, report accident, near miss and incident.

Regularly conduct QA/QC inspections, re-validations and calibration of all field equipment prior to mobilization.

Develop & conduct weekly QHSE sessions and HSE Awareness training programs on safe practice, standards and regulations for the entire field personnel and emergency drills.

Review health and safety performance, develop annual QHSE plan/ target for the field operations and attend health and safety committee meetings.

Ensure suitable and sufficient assessment of risks to the Health and Safety of personnel, assets or environment are carried out like health surveillance, emergency arrangement for safe evacuation of staff and inspect and document all PPE and all fire protection equipments to ensure proper working.

Develop and submit daily, weekly HSE statistics report to top management and clients.

Responsibilities:(Duties performed but not limited to)

Performed periodic meter proving and calibration of on-line P.D meters at offshore and onshore locations for our Clients respectively.

Performed data analysis using the raw data meter readings to generate the K-factor for the online meters

Compiled and recorded a complete report on the entire exercise forwarded to our clients.

Performed Crude oil gravity analysis (API) on samples collected during meter proving operations to ascertain the specific gravity and water content of the crude oil

Performed field operations in compliance with the procedures in the JHA for each operational activities, used suitable PPE,observed proper manual handling, ensured good conduct and good house keeping throughout the jobs.

Requested a valid permit to work (PTW) be issued prior to jobs start off, duly signed and submitted to the field operator on duty at the various platforms.

Performed daily toolbox talk sessions with my team before any job commencement.

Performed several installations, maintenance and servicing of new Smith meters and ATG temperature compensator at different production platforms.

Performed regular preventive/Corrective maintenance of the Metering Skid

Performed periodic calibration of pressure gauges using comparator and temperature gauges using thermobath

Carried out re-validation process/ certification, maintenance and servicing of the Master Meter, prover loops and flanges at SGS.
