As the Lead APEX developer on this project I helped upgrade from legacy mainframe systems to Oracle EBS. This required various additional functionality using Oracle APEX 5. The key functionality was a complex ETL process to bring new and legacy batch transactions from Excel spreadsheets into the EBS Projects module using external and internal data validation. Convert a business/engineering critical legacy application to Oracle APEX and PL/SQL. Their legacy application consisted of various components performing the overall function of creating turbine designs and parts kits for international sales. The software which was developed covered all aspects of design and modeling of large scale power generating turbines. Starting with a Master Frame and customizing through the use of specialized BOM’s to match specific engineering and customer criteria. A BOM is created for each of the “Program Parts” where each part has a lifetime analysis based on Hours or the number of turbine Starts. I was responsible for all aspects of the technical side of the project including the database model and creation of all Oracle objects. This also included designing and implementing the data migration process which included data mapping and ETL. Once the database design and objects were created the business logic was developed and placed in several packages and the front end GUI was developed using Application Express 5.01 and the Universal theme.

Oracle/APEX/PLSQL Analyst/ Developer – 6 Mo. Contract Contracted to migrate their Regulatory Submissions Implementation (Site level) application written in MS Access to APEX on Oracle 11g. Determine requirements, interview users group and determine essential requirements. I designed all schema objects in Oracle; tables, indexes, triggers, functions, procedures, packages, sequences, etc. Once the schema and related objects were created the data was ETL from Access to Oracle. The business logic in MS Access was converted to PL/SQL and either placed in the APEX application or the database itself to be called by APEX. The APEX application was designed from the ground up and the various themes and templates were customized to yield the proper end result.

Lead APEX – PL/SQL Developer 6 mo. Contract Extended After several months was positioned as the lead developer and generally acted as a project manager over a varying number of other developers. Met with stakeholders to create various requirements documents. We were tasked with the design, development and deployment of a web based quote creation and tracking system for their call center using Oracle APEX and 10g/11g database with PL/SQL. This system would be used by 150+ customer service representatives while speaking to customers. This required a fast and efficient system designed with the minimum of page refreshes using AJAX and JavaScript while off loading as much work as possible to the Oracle database back end using PL/SQL. The project also included integration with a new accounting system, a SQL Server based enterprise package called Softrax, and legacy data management applications written in Oracles APEX. Data migration (ETL) was performed primarily through the use of several MS Access and Excel applications written specifically for this project.

Worked independently with stakeholders to gather requirements for the team, create Functional Design Documents, use cases, process and data flow diagrams and an overall project plan including tasks, duration’s assignments and predecessors.

(ETL) from a very large Lotus Notes application to a new Java (front end) and Oracle 10g (back end) application. Server/networking knowledge

o I have a Domain/LAN in my home that which I designed to be a learning tool and support my efforts as a developer. The domain includes two Dell Servers, one of which is a Domain Controller with AD/DNS. The other Server is virtualized and designed to run multiple versions of Oracle database, APEX, ORDS and Glassfish web server in several multitenant environments. There are also numerous workstations and laptops attached with a variety of OS’s configured for development.
