DRM (Data Relationship Management) Development

● Development of DRM end-to-end processes to streamline current processes and the management of key dimensions and hierarchies across the US and Global businesses on larger projects with wider exposure to more areas of the business and company as described in the DRM development in my previous role.

● Development of a “self-service” repository of commonly-requested data to be routinely exported to a networked share drive with tiered levels of security to control the recipients of said data, setup utilizing a completely automated process.

Application Development Advisor February 2017 - February 2020 Cigna Philadelphia, PA

DRM Development

● Development of DRM end-to-end processes to streamline current processes and the management of key dimensions and hierarchies across the US and Global businesses, ultimately populating the Oracle General Ledger, Financial Management, Essbase, Planning, and other financial and non-financial systems o The overall objective of these initiatives is to save time and cost managing hierarchies for both current and new applications, while creating a central repository for financial or “analytic” master data.

● Replacement of multiple entry points where hierarchy and related information is stored and updated using DRM as a central repository or foundation that allows for hierarchy changes to be made once and then propagated to multiple systems. Setting up processes in this manner also ensures the validity of data across many systems.

● Utilized a combination of VBscript, batch scripts, windows command files, Oracle DRM script and WinSCP scheduled through windows scheduler to automate with alerts and attachments the movement of data and metadata.

● Other DRM activities: data integration. versioning strategy, validation, automation, migration activities, documentation and communications, monthly process management and dependency tracker. Oracle Managed Cloud Services (OMCS) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

● Participated in the system testing of front-end applications related to DRM to identify and resolve issues related to the movement of the upgraded (back-end) hosted cloud infrastructure to ensure a clean cut-over for end users.

Vender Management – Oracle

● Submission and tracking of product and system Service Requests (SRs) and Request for Change (RFCs) for all products and environments.

● Discussion, planning and resolving issues related to minor software (Patch) upgrades to major 'dot' release upgrades.

● Complete infrastructure changes from on-premise servers to servers hosted by Oracle Managed Cloud Services (OMCS) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

● Participated in bi-weekly meetings with our Oracle service manager to discuss the above items and track them accordingly, in addition to quarterly reviews of identified security vulnerabilities and performance measures. Agile – Scrum Master (Interim)

● Performed scrum master duties for the Hyperion team and all of its products and application in an interim capacity.

● Initially setup Program epics, features and user stories in ‘Rally’ to capture all of the existing and future development work for the team.

● Met with agile coaches, product owners and stakeholders to understand what is expected of the various agile team members and developed best practice guides and instructions accordingly. Senior Application Development Specialist February 2014 - February 2017 Cigna Philadelphia, PA

Source Control – SVN & Git

● To be in compliance with CIP (Cigna Information Projection) policies and standards, including the segregation of duties, we utilized Subversion (SVN) as a source control system (initially). o Setup the initial configuration of Subversion (the source control system) used to enforce the above mentioned policies and standards as our source control tool, as well as the installation, setup and usage documentation and training.

● Installation and migration from Subversion to GitLab once decommission of Subversion was announced. Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR) Development

● Developed HFRs supporting Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, and Essbase. o These reports utilized dynamic suppression, conditional formatting, specific user Point-of-View

(POV) population, calculations, dynamic formatting and user input to mirror existing Management Reports that existed prior.

Hyperion Modernization and Upgrade Project

● One of the lead participants in the complete Hyperion system overhaul and revamp project alongside several Accenture consultants. This included the evaluation of current Hyperion state to identify opportunities for optimization, clean-up, reduction of the application footprint and to address current pain points which produce the following opportunities for improvement;

● Reduced the application foot print – From 18 applications with 21 cubes (databases) to 9 applications and 12 cubes

Lead Hyperion Systems Analyst November 2013 – January 2014 Independence Blue Cross Philadelphia, PA

● Completed an upgrade of our Oracle EPM 11.1.1.3 system to 11.1.2.1, similar to the ones completed two years ago by a team of consultants, without any outside assistance. ● Managed an end-user upgrade of Windows 7, MS Office 2010, and IE9 while concurrently completing the EPM system upgrade, to ensure present and future compatibility and utilization of new functionality.

● Developed a Segment Reporting Application database to enable advanced analysis for timely, accurate and efficient decision-making by upper management. Developed automated dynamic front-end reporting and analysis documents to provide additional insight into the various products, segments, and other dimensions. Senior Hyperion Systems Analyst November 2010 - November 2013 Independence Blue Cross Philadelphia, PA

● Managed a team of 5 Consultants, facilitated communication between Corporate IS, Informatics, Human Resources IS (HRIS), and Finance IS (FIS) departments through the entire system upgrade process (moving from Hyperion version 9.2 to 11.1.1.3) as well as the implementation of a new workforce planning system.

● Created Planning Forms for end users to input data into the forms themselves, or alternatively, into Excel, which was then linked to the forms through Hyperion SmartView.

● Developed a Variance Analysis Tool in Hyperion Analyzer to report traditional straight line variances of budget minus actual as well as flexible variances which showed what various portions of the variance were due to; volume variances, rate/cost variances, and efficiency variances based on different driver statistics for various departments. This tool also allowed for “Drilling-through” to details held in various SQL server databases such as Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Inventory systems. Education:
