Structures Design Engineer
●Implemented a new chassis design for hyperloop POD using 3D Cad modeling on Siemens NX 12.0
●Performed FEA on the chassis to reinforce the suspension hardpoints on which the spring damper was mounted.
●Mentored a team of juniors to design and manufacture structure and suspension system of POD.

Product design engineering
●Worked as a product design engineer for the chassis team of DAF trucks, in this role interacted with 3 cross-functional subsystems such as automotive interior, exterior, steering, and braking systems.
●Designed chassis and suspension components using NX CAD and prepared layout to check the packaging of the components.
●Lead the Concept designing of Fuse Box to achieve better serviceability also designed the mounting on the truck chassis. Developed technical competence with the production team to provide quick design for manufacturing (DFM) support to the design process. Created and owned new high volume production parts in Siemens Teamcenter.
●Timely solutions for ECRs were provided. Worked on vehicle-level master models for component packaging.
TATA Motors: (experience: 3 months) Sep 2016 - Nov 2016
Support service engineer
●Managed 4 assembly stations on the Chassis production line of the TATA NEXON pickup truck and minimized the defects.
●Lead a team of 11 mechanics and implemented a solution in terms of Poka-Yoke for a VIN plate mount on the dashboard.
●Simplified the inventory process that saved 14 hours per week that’s equivalent to half the pay of a full-time employee.
PROJECTS
DESIGN OF COMPLETE WHEEL ASSEMBLY TO STUDY ITS PACKAGING
●Optimized the design of wheel hubs for two-seater off-road vehicle by reducing the weight by 0.5kg on each.
●3D prototyping using SLA printer for studying the wheel assembly clearances.
●Provided four types of different wheel hub design and based on the decision-making matrix finalized a particular design based on parameters like material selection, machinability, serviceability and simulation results.

●The wheel assembly was completely customized using a combination of space-grade material like Al 7075-T6 and achieved a total of 1.5kg of weight reduction on each wheel assembly without compromising on the strength of the components.
●Worked on vehicle crash safety principles (FMVSS) and experienced the vehicle dynamics as being the race driver of the team. Improved the vehicle handling by reducing 20% of the unsprung mass from the suspension components.
●Manufacturing process used : Water jet cutting, Laser cutting, CNC lathe, VMC and TIG welding.
