I worked on an assignment with Technisource. I was a Desktop Support Technician for Methodist Health Care Ministries. I worked on trouble shooting software and hardware issues including Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 issues, Outlook 2007 and 2010 issues, wireless issues, printer issues and set up client email. I unlocked user accounts in Active Directory and reset Terminal Server sessions. I set up and installed printers on the network. I also worked with trouble shooting issues and connections with IPads and Iphones. I also worked on imaging laptops and computers using Ghost software and transferring data from old laptops to new laptops.

I worked in the IT department for an International company in the aviation industry of about 3700 employees in a shop floor environment as well as an office environment. Our Division in San Antonio had about 700 employees. I helped install and configure switches that were deployed when setting up part of the infrastructure. I worked from connecting the switches to the network by way of the Core Catalyst, to the transceivers, to patch panel to the IDF switches to the LAN drops. I ran fiber, Cat5e and phone cable to get the devices connected to the network. It was part of my duty to help the team trouble shoot the network when it was down by checking the hardware physically and monitoring the network through software like network monitor. My duty also included backing up servers with a tape backup device and using CloneZilla to back up PLCs. I created user accounts, shared drives on client computers, shares on the server and email accounts using Active Directory, Exchange Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008. I trouble shot for client’s software and hardware issues using a help desk support system. Some of the software I had to trouble shoot was Office 2003 Suite, Citrix client software, Windows XP, Windows 7, VPN client software. When trouble shooting an issue, I either used remote assistance, remote desktop, DameWare or PCAnywhere to access the clients computer or laptop to resolve the issue. Another option was physically being at the computer or laptop to trouble shoot. Besides trouble shooting, I also installed and configured software such as Windows 7, Windows XP, Microsoft Office products, AutoCad, BlackBerry software, Citrix Client Version 12, Cisco VPN Client, ODBC drivers and other company software using Ghost or MDT. I also installed computer hardware and peripherals on client computers such as video cards for dual monitors, memory, hard drives, pointers, laptop batteries, etc. I maintained and repaired HP LaserJet 5000n type printers. I lead several projects of deploying computers and laptops.
