Movie Recommender based on Spark MLlib Personal Project

Use ALS algorithm in Spark Machine-Learning library with Scala technology to build a recommendation system for users.

Preprocessed datasets from MovieLens website and randomly split data for training, testing and validation.

Trained recommended model with different parameters and select the model based on dataset and user’s rating information with lowest RMSE.

Gained the recommended results with less than 0.8681 RMSE. WOW Car Rental Website Group Project

Developed a car rental website that enables customer to rent and return vehicles from various locations.

Built API of the websites with RESTful style using PHP technology and connected with MySQL database.

Utilized HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Bootstrap technologies to develop responsive front-end web pages.

Optimized security features by realizing concurrency control using locking reads of MySQL database. Prevented SQL injection attack with prepared statements, encrypted password with password hash.
