EXPERIENCE
FEBRUARY 2020 – OCTOBER 2020
SENIOR LOGISTICS MANAGER, ryder logistics, frankfort, IN
In my role as Senior Logistics Manager with RYDER Logistics, I directed and managed all day to day operational adherences and expectations for a successful 1.6 million square foot 3PL food storage and distribution site. While on staff with RYDER, I implemented and rolled out an SOP, Operational Playbook to over 250 employees across three shifts, which bolstered and improved attendance by 28% in a six month period. Productivity and labor management tracking was improved from 82.5% to 97.6% across three shifts for a full quarter and continues to rise. In leading this initiative, our team also accomplished the feat of recording less than 2% GAP and Indirect time and maintained 2% or below for full quarter. While on staff with RYDER, I had the opportunity to drive down waste with creating a stronger dunnage and recycling program that will open long lasting opportunity for savings and alternate profitability through the adjusted direction for years to come.
Selected Contributions:
Introduction and implementation of SOP based Preferred Methods with the inclusion of standardized Operational Playbook for all trackable functions.
Addition of recycle/dunnage platform and program that would create alternate source of revenue with a 120 day ROI and profit initiative that would reflect gain in less than six months.
Led the time study and correction of all metrics based trackable JDA functions to increase operator fill rate, pick/pack accuracy and improved proficiency. Time study and correction led to the progress, proficiency, shipment and customer satisfaction fill rate of 99.990%.
