In the Lync (originally ‘Office Communications Server’, now ‘Microsoft Teams’) Product Group:

• Assigned by the executive steering committee to research and develop a strategy and technical roadmap for the integration of Lync with PSTN/mobile networks. This was a critical component for the success of the first release of the product.

• Gained executive approval for the plan and subsequently led an engineering team to implement a server network element that executed the plan. Awarded US Patent 7,995,737

• Hired and managed a team of 5 program managers responsible for partner integration programs for Lync (Voice, Video conference, SIP Trunking, E911)

• Traveled domestically and internationally (Europe & Asia Pacific) on business development missions to build strategic relationships with national communications carrier companies Avaya, Inc. 2003 – 2004
