My name is Jason Jacobi. I’m 48 years old and I am upcoming my 20 year anniversary with my current employer, Trax. My time there has been nothing short of great and I have been through five presidents and C-level changes in my time there. I decided last year that it was time for me to start fresh in the new year as the job is failing to challenge me anymore. I am very excited to start looking for what I hope is the final job of my career. I came across this job posting on Linkedin and many of the requirements overlap nicely with my experiences. Over the past 20 years I have held every position imaginable in a small company. I started as a pl/sql developer 20 years ago. I was the creator of the data warehouse that is still in use and produced 10,000 reports per week at the peak. I helped develop a rules based engine for enriching invoice data that is the heart of our coding engine still today and requires no development team to implement a new client. Over time, I moved out of development and took on roles of project management and product owner. Several years ago I was promoted to VP of Saas Operations. My team was responsible for the operations of the company that started with the receipt and ingest of data, all processes associated with the data, and finally the destination in a data warehouse. This team was distributed between Memphis, Manila, Cebu, and Hyderabad where I assisted in setting up the development team that is currently where the majority of development is done for Trax. We have used an Agile project/development methodology for many years as it works best for our applications. Our last major initiative was moving all our applications and databases from locally hosted data centers to AWS and Oracle OCI. This was about a two and a half year effort and has positioned Trax for the future. I would love the opportunity to see if this job would be a good destination for me and vice versa. I have also attached a letter from the prior president that shows his thoughts of me in hopes that it helps show you what kind of person I am. Sincerely,
Jason Jacobi
