Building includes – Museum Galleries, restaurants, food forum, collec- tion Storage, Auditorium, Children activity center, library, café, offices and laboratories.
Structural components of Building having a series of Interlocking discs of varying dimensions and curvature, which have form walls, ceiling, floors and terraces. Each disc will be made of steel truss structure clad in glass – reinforced concrete and the voids between discs have glazed steel facades. The Interlocking discs that compose the building are of varying curvature and diameter, some of them standing more or less upright and acting as support elements, others lying more or less hori- zontal. The discs are made of steel structures assembled in a hub –and – spoke arrangement and are clad in GFRC panels. Columns are con- cealed within the vertical discs and carry the load of the horizontal disc to the ground.

The Project involves construction of an academic building comprising 2 basement levels and 5 additional floors with a total built up area of 41,770 sq.m offering classrooms, an auditorium, faculty offices and ex- hibition space. The Project also includes a mosque and a car park. This project is intended to be “center” for thinking, learning and a pioneer in research & discussion of Islam and Muslim Culture. The minaret 1 & 2 are cantilevered structures formed using tapering steel plate girders. The larger Minaret -1 rises approximately 80m above the external ground level with a structural depth of 2.5 m at the root, tapering to 0.47m deep at the tip. The smaller Minaret -2 rises approxi- mately 69m above ground level tapering from 1.5m to 0.25m deep at the top. Two plate girders in each minaret, running from +34 to +48m QND, in Minaret-1, and from +38m to +35m QND in Minaret-2, are not connected to the adjacent structure along their length and are connected via a viscous damper at their tip.
