Objective

Computer Aided Engineering has always been of interest to me. I have turned this interest into my skill and now I want to utilize them for your organization and be a part of its success. Education

Masters in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Design and Analysis, Skill Lync (Present) B.E. Mechanical Engineering, JSPM NTC, Pune. 7.34/10 sgpa (2016 – 2019) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Govt. Polytechnic Aurangabad. 79.71% (2013 – 2016) SSC Board Maharashtra, BSGM School. 90% (2012 – 2013) Projects

Hydroelectric power plant model for educational purpose, Diploma project

• A hydropower system uses a dam to store river water in a reservoir. This water is released through a penstock with a nozzle at the end, which creates high velocity flow of water and directs it on the turbine. This makes the turbine spin, which in turn activates a generator to produce electricity.

• There are different types of turbines, according to the design of the blades. In this project, a successful attempt was made to design and showcase the different types of turbines for educational purposes.

• Impulse and Kaplan turbines were made from plastic wheels and spoons attached together by heating the plastic. Ammeter was used to validate the working of the model. Development of a low cost high strength Filament Winding Machine, Degree project

• Filament winding is an automated process of manufacturing advanced reinforced composite structural components. It creates the winding of resin impregnated fibres around a mandrel and after hardening the wound fibre can take the shape of the mandrel.

• The components produced by this machine are gas cylinders, tanks, pipes etc. The machines available in the market are very costly and cannot produce small sized components.

• Hence, the main aim of the project was to create a low cost high strength filament winding machine that would produce small sized components for prototyping and testing. Meshing a car hood in ANSA preprocessor, Skill-lync

• The method used for meshing any component is determined through its thickness and proper geometrical examination. There are two types of mesh that can be performed, viz., shell mesh and solid (volume) mesh. Sheet metal components and plastic components having thickness less than 6mm should be shell meshed.

• Since the car hood is a sheet metal component and its thickness was between 0.75 and 1mm, I created a mid-surface of the hood parts and meshed them with the given quality criteria and assigned the respective thickness to its parts.

Meshing a rearview mirror, Skill-Lync

• Considering the thickness and geometry of the part, it had to be meshed with solid mesh.

• Tetrahedral mesh was performed on this component for structural analysis in the ANSA preprocessor.

• The quality of a tetra element in solid mesh is checked mainly for collapse of elements. For a perfect tetra element, the ratio of its height to the root of its base area should be 1.24. All terrain Vehicle Design, 15 day workshop at MIT WPU,Pune

• It was a 15 days workshop with a team of 20 students. We designed an ATV from scratch.

• We took reference of the BAJA rules and regulation for ATV to qualify for the competition. We started from the dimensions of the vehicle to its production in the workshop itself.

• From deciding the C.G. of the car, its suspension type, steering mechanism, frame design, transmission system, etc. all was done in the workshop by the team.

• We also did simulation on the vehicle in solidworks. Electric Powertrain for aircraft towing vehicle, Skill Lync

• Found the force required for towing an Airbus A318 aircraft. (Drag force and rolling resistance force).

• Accordingly, selected the best suited motor by type and power rating for propulsion of the tow truck.

• Calculated energy required for pushback of Airbus A318.

• Designed the powertrain w.r.t. The duty cycle range and battery capacity. Frontal crash, Side crash & Roof crush analysis using Hyperworks & Radioss, Skill Lync

• Performed crash testing for mentioned three types and understood the behaviour of the vehicle during a crash.

• This challenge has some limitations like accuracy, mainly because of the student version limitation on the number of nodes to 100,000. Because of this limitation, the models used in the study were reduced to a permeable number of nodes.

• Studying the types of interface and assigning the correct one based on the type of analysis was a challenge.

• Energy error, mass error, hourglass energy, total energy, kinetic energy of the vehicle, contact energy and internal energy behaviour was studied successfully. Extra-Curricular:

Musician with good guitar playing and drumming skill. Participated for three consecutive years in a state level play competition (Firodiya Karandak) Maharashtra, where I headed the music team in coordination with the acting and the dance team for live performances. I write blogs on Supercars and Formula one at https://autoworldinfo.com/ Skills:

CAD Tools: Catia, Pro-E/Creo, Solidworks, Fusion360, AutoCAD. CAE Tools: ANSYS, MATLAB & SIMULINK, ANSA Pre-processor, Hyperworks.
