Responsible for HR activities of the Station including manpower provisioning, On-Job Training, budgetary planning, force modernization & overall technical fitness monitoring of large size force. Carried out complete turn-around of a de-funk, obsolete, non-operational Radar in a time-bound manner and declared it operational; saving INR 450+ Cr.

Aug’ 14 - Oct’ 16 - HR head and Senior Technical Officer

Single Technical Officer of the unit responsible for HR, Operational and Maintenance activities of the unit. Operationalised a new Helipad and established Sat Link in record time with mainland during floods of Srinagar in 2014 and helped evacuation of civilians/military population to safer places.

Apr’ 11 - Aug’ 14 - Commanding Officer

Heading a team of 150+ skilled personnel responsible for operation and maintenance of a wide range of War-like equipment worth hundreds of crores. Active participation in various field exercises under zero-error environment, intense weather conditions, physical and psychological pressure, strategized and assumed critical decision-making duties. Also functioned as ‘Command Umpire’ in one such exercise.

Aug’ 08 - Aug’ 11 - HR head and Unit Technical Officer

Responsible for HR activities of the unit. Carried out Performance Acceptance Tests of indigenised prototype 4x125 KVA Diesel Generators and Digital Mobile Radio Relay (DMRR) Communication Eqpt. Suggested modifications to help their smooth transition into Indian Air Force.

General Administration

Conceiving, conceptualizing and executing administrative

requirements of the task force and measures to optimize resources and capacity utilization.

Developing, implementing and maintaining operational procedures

and plans including HR, Administration, Training & Development, Procurement, Logistics and Vehicles management.

Handled preparation of the annual financial plan to include overall

forecasting, budgeting, procurement, distribution and consumption of resources.

management plans, improvised existing Standard Operating Procedures and Policies, resulting in improved mission-critical Radar efficacy to >95%

Headed an engineering outfit with assets worth hundreds of Crores of

operation, maintenance and modification of Light, heavy & war-ready common-users and specialists' combat vehicles.

Prepared SOP’s on safety & security of men, machine, material &

High-value assets. Executed risk assessment while monitoring & coordinating various technical activities, raising defect reports, quality/warranty issues with OEM’s to the conclusion.

Logistics Operations

Managed large inventories worth hundreds of crores and environment-

controlled stores efficiently; formulated the Logistics & distribution strategies with a focus on strengthening effectiveness and optimization of store procedures.

Efficient handling of vendors and OEMs to ensure quality of supplied

items, warranty issues and timely billing/payments etc.

Project and Assets Management

Liaised & coordinated with cross-functional departments of the mission

including HR, Finance, Transport, Facility Management, Logistics & Engineering and interacted with team members to ensure the smooth progress of project work

Managed the organizational assets worth hundreds of Crores; spread in

an area of 50 acres which included residential complexes, training area, entertainment area, Canteen Stores Department, technical area, weapons and ammunition areas, etc.

Quality Assurance

Served as a Quality Assurance Inspector and key functionary in

obtaining ISO 9001:2000 Certification for one of the most critical Base Repair Depot (BRD), which undertakes major overall of all Russian Origin Ground Equipment held with IAF; including Radars, Missile Launchers, Power Plants, etc. First of its kind certification in IAF.

Event Management

Complete responsibility for handling lodging and boarding of ‘Chiefs of

The Defence Forces’ of 26 countries including Indian Defence/Civil dignitaries (750+ VVIPs/VIPs), (event also attended by The President of India) during Exercise ‘IRON FIST’ held at one of the premier Air Base.
