POSITION: SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

EMPLOYER: PRIMO BUILDERS

DURATION: 2 YEARS 6 MONTHS (2018 JUNE TO 2020 NOVEMBER) KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing all the financial aspects of the construction projects to ensure successful completion by efficiently utilizing the quantity surveying team and resources

• Scouting for potential tenders and study and research tender documents to device a successful plan to prepare winning tenders

• Preparing tender documents and submittals, contacting and obtaining quotations from potential sub-contractors and suppliers and preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates as per Standard Methods of Measurements

• Preparing BOQ as per the tender guidelines and Standard Conditions of Contract

• Evaluating the awarded projects, re-evaluate supplier's and sub-contractor's quotations and obtain revised quotations where required and shortlist suppliers and subcontractors to award sub-contracts

• Assist Project Manager to Prepare WBS and Project Plans to the awarded projects and develop project management tools required for successful project management

• Evaluate the interim Project Progress Reports to ensure the project is in line with the established Cost Control Plan

• Prepare Quantity Take-offs On-site and using latest Drawings to prepare Interim Payment Applications and Interim Payment Certificates

• Preparing and submitting of variations and conducting variation meetings with the sub-contractors and attending client variation meetings

• Preparation and Submittal of construction claims

• Assisting the Project Manager in the preparation of the Project Completion Report

DURATION: 2 YEARS AND 5 MONTHS (2015 NOVEMBER TO 2018 APRIL) KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparing estimations and measurements for Tenders and managing financial aspects of designated projects up to completion.

TENDERING AND ESTIMATION:

• Study tender packages and prepare BOQ as per the specifications and scope of works

• Review BOQ provided by the client and ensure all the work items are present

• Take-off quantities from drawings and site as required and prepare measurement sheets

• Prepare Rate Build-ups and establish unit costs

• Prepare RFQ documents and receive quotations for item required to be out- sourced

• Review Quotations received from sub-contractors and prepare comparison sheets

• Raise tender clarifications and carryout site visits for further clarification on scope of works and specifications where required

• Evaluate sub-contractors’ payment applications and prepare Interim Payment Certificates

• Evaluate site instructions, design changes and prepare and submit variation claims

• Prepare and issue site instructions, delay notices and contra charge notices to sub-contractors

• Keep track of the project progress, analyse delay incidents and submit delay notices and prepare extension of time claims
