July 2018 – July 2018: Unjani Clinic, Orange Farm (member of a network of privately owned primary healthcare clinics providing accessible, affordable and quality healthcare to low income communities)

Responsibilities:

Working under the supervision of nurses and other licensed medical professional.

Assisting nursing staff as directed, i.e. observing sick patients, completing and recording vital signs, dispensing medication.

Conducting specialised testing under supervision, i.e. urine and glucose testing, HIV testing and counselling.

Wound- care and dressing.
