Practice Manager II

Manage radiology and anesthesia practice operations for 10 Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) hospitals and 4 urgent care centers spanning the state of Florida. Managed 45 radiologists and 20 anesthesiologists with various levels of direct/indirect reports to run a proficient practice. Prepared and managed budgets of over 7+ million dollars with precise efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ensured proper hospital privileges and credentials for radiologists via supervising the credentialing process. Trained, organized training sessions with vendors, and provided performance feedback to instruct radiologists on software use (i.e. voice recognition templates, billing performance/corrections). Heavily involved with our tele-medicine platform to ensure proper coverage and timely delivery of patient reports.

Work closely with Regional Medical Director and Facility Chiefs to ensure the needs/concerns/issues of the hospital(s) are being addressed. Provide and implemented solutions, when necessary, to ensure we were providing the best service to the facility(client) and our patients.

Operations Manager (Practice Manager), 2012 – 2017

Directed billing, quality assurance, and telemedicine (spanning 4 different U.S. states and in Jerusalem, Israel) operations. Managed the monthly schedules for 75 radiologists among 6 hospitals and 25+ outpatient centers. Prepared budgets, staffing reports, invoices, reports, physician contracts, and payroll. Purchased, tested, implemented, and maintained computer equipment for radiologists. Spearheaded technical support and fixed all technological issues. Permitted by management to create this new position as Operations Manager & Practice Manager and job description to better address all issues and improve processes.

Appointed as the advisor to the CEO and 4 executive directors.

Increased profits by nearly 20% (allowing the company to earn over $50M in gross for the 1st time in company history) by overseeing the billing cycle.

Installed reporting processes for the organization (since there was never one present) that projected future staffing needs, improved scheduling to prevent under and over staffing, improved billing operations, etc.

Oversaw RADPEER, radiation dose, and the patient safety program. Shared RADPEER data analytics with the American College of Radiology, received benchmarking data that compared all practices to one another, and shared data with section chiefs to identify areas needing improvement.

Transformed overall quality, simplified workflow, increased staff collaboration/communication, and earned 100% compliance scores by launching a new peer review process.

Increased the number of peer reviewed cases by 22% (approximately 17,000 more cases) by upgrading RADPEER to an automated process, which asked physicians to peer review cases rather than manually logging in and searching.
