Desmond Tutu Health Centre (DTHC), based in the Faculty of Health Sciences, is

Outlined below are some of the roles on offer:

Senior Medical Officers

MBChB Degree; registered with HPCSA, 3 - 5 years’ work experience in the clinical

research environment, 2 – 3 years’ experience in a lead role managing clinical staff

(doctors and nurses) will be advantageous.

Medical Officers

MBChB Degree; registered with HPCSA, 2-3 years’ work experience in a clinical

research environment.

Research Nurses

Degree or Diploma in Nursing with current SANC registration, 1- 2 years nursing,

experience, and knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines with current GCP

certification preferred. Nimart trained will advantageous

Study Co-ordinators

Tertiary Degree/Diploma in a health-related field, 2-3 years’ work experience in a

research environment. Knowledge of GCP guidelines and clinical trial sites processes.

Project Management and staff management experience will be advantageous.

Pharmacists:

Tertiary qualification in Pharmacy (registered with the South African Pharmacy Council);

2-3 years’ working experience as a pharmacis. Clinical trials experience will be

advantageous.
