The primary purpose for the Intranet was for it to be utilised as a document management system, as Diabetes UK have grown, it is now a requirement for the intranet to become a key internal communication platform within the organisation.

Intranet redevelopment and redesign using SharePoint 2013, which gives the users the flexibility of having an informative home page that has the “Global News”, “Local News” snippets coming from the “News” site and also to keep an up to date view of the “Share Price” read directly from the “Yahoo Web Service”, Intranet users can also see the times in 2 different time zones and check the weather across the globe.

Developed a functionality to setup manual alerts on the creation and update of News Articles, this functionality provides the user a solution to setup daily, weekly and immediate alerts by using the Event Handlers and Timer Jobs.

Developed a functionality to create article pages automatically on a click of a button, and associated a Page Layout with the newly created page and redirects the user to the new page in edit mode. This functionality was developed by calling a WCF Service through JQuery (AJAX Call)

The main objective of the FAST Phase 3 project is to handle the requests from tenants or landlords regarding properties managed by DTZ.

Developed an Event Receiver that converts the Outlook .msg file into .eml files, and save it into a folder in the document library with all the specified metadata populated that came through from Outlook in the email body and subject.
