PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

MAJOR Project August 2019 – May 2020

Project Title: Comparative Study of turbulence and transport models for combustion in cryogenics engine using LOX and H2.

Description: The goal of this paper is to have comparative combustion analysis within MASCOTTE Rig VO3 developed by ONERA labs. Total of 4 computational case studies are presented using epsilon turbulence solver equilibrium and CHEMKIN transport models in Ansys Fluent and the result are compared with test case RCM-3 presented in 2nd IWRCM.

MINOR Project August 2018 – May 2019

Project Title: Study of effect of Dimple on Laminar Separation Bubble on NACA 0012 at Low Reynolds Number. Description: The Primary goal of this project is to study the effect of dimple on laminar separation bubble over low Reynolds number airfoils through computational method. By creating the dimple(cavity) on wing segment we tend to study the effect of changes in the length of separation bubble on aerodynamic characteristics such as aerodynamic efficiency, stall angle and lift produced by the wing segment. Project Title: Design. Build. Fly: Student Design Challenge September 2017- April 2018 Description: The competition is organized by American Institute of aeronautics and Astronautics every year. The objective of this competition is to design a Remote-control airplane that can lift maximum payload, without damaging the payloads can drop them to the given location within minimum duration under the design constraints and set rules of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
