SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

I have multiple years’ experience manufacturing engineering, with the tool design and production of prototype and one-of-a-kind products, also with large scale production and transmission assembly machines, Learfan 2100, B1-B & B2 aircraft, General Electric and Pratt Whitney Jet Engines and Space Shuttle Main Engines, truck and trailer bodies, electronic hardware, pick and place machinery, high-speed automotive lighting machinery. I have participated in PDR’s, CDR’s, ARR's and TRR’s during my employment history. My experience further includes the Military electronics industry, Aircraft (military & commercial). CNC machining processes, steel castings, machine shops and Liaison Engineer between companies and subcontract machine shops. I am experienced in sheet metal fabrication, tool and die design and fabrication. I have experience using AUTOCAD 2000, 2004, Mechanical Desktop, with FEA software, AutoCAD 14 and AUTOCAD LIGHT, 2D & 3D, and M/S Office. Implemented new procedure for improving the Induction Brazing process.

Added exhaust fan system to process.

Repaired tubing bender when it failed. Then had to send machine to Manufacturer for glitch program.

Worked on one project to automatically dispense, cap, torque and label 1.5 ml vials in order to reduce the labor cost of assembling vials of a reagent.

One person and the machine are doing the work of 5 people, ROI, 5 months.

Worked with MS Projects software to track the project provided senior staff with monthly progress reports.

Worked with the vendor during assembly process, validation testing, installation and training of company personal of the machine.

Second machine for similar product is in the queue with a 3 month return on investment.

ITT Corp, Deep Space Network, Monrovia, CA. 01/2006 – 08/2009

Antenna Mechanical Engineer

Inspected Mechanical components of Deep Space Network Antennas and writing inspection reports on the equipment, including corrective actions.

Acting as liaison between customer, JPL and the Stations, Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex, Goldstone DSCC and Madrid DSCC. Responsible for all mechanical operational systems for (3) 26m, (6) 34m and (3) 70-meter antenna. Working with hydrostatic bearing and servo hydraulic drive assemblies.

Worked with customer and stations during installation of new Elevation bearings for all three 70-meter antennas’ and upgrade for hydrostatic bearing at our Madrid station. Worked with JPL and station with installation of new equipment onto 34-meter antennas.

Participated in design reviews’, downtime readiness reviews and return to service review with JPL, ITT and the stations. As with most large pieces of equipment there were a number of parts which were made from castings.

I received commendations from NASA, JPL and ITT for job performance and for tasks completed.

Tool Designer

Responsible for designing test equipment for the M1A1 Abrams tank, to validate the onboard missile guidance system.

Cad system used for this project was AutoCAD R14. Also review for manufacture a new Night Vision system.

Responsible for the Design, Development and Cost Improvement for new and existing products and in-house tooling.

Machine Design Engineer:

Update current machine configuration and designed conveyor equipment for new cable lines. The product for which the equipment is being used for is under water cable, power and communication line. Used AutoCAD 14 with Toolbox Pro.

Gilbert Industrial, Inc., Pepperell Ma (Contract successfully completed) 9/98 - 06/99

Mechanical Engineer:

Responsible for the design and manufacture of parts and the assembly of 2-axis seam welding machine for a customer per customer specification.

Communicating progress reports to customer on a weekly basis, via e-mail.

Also redesign of Seam Welding heads for another customer. Heads were assembled and tested in house, taken to customer's facility for installation.

Worked also on retrofitting older Spot and Seam Welders. All work done using AutoCAD R13.
