RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: PROJECTS 2020

Pet-finder App: Heroku deployed completely functioning single-page full-stack app using Python Flask for the back end and React for the front end. The app allows the user to see lost pets in their zip code area, post about their lost pet and get email notifications when their pet is found.

Outdoor Walks App: a home improvement app that accurately guides a user into how to build an outdoor walk and provides a list of materials and tools for the project, python Flask/React full-stack app with a complete CRUD model and a SQLite database.

Famous Opera App: Accessed and manipulated networked resources using Representational State Transfer (REST) routes when applying Express framework. Compartmentalized my code into Models(data, javaScript variables), Views(data displayed to user in HTML format), and Controllers (connected models with the vies) or MVC. Installed Node Package Manager (NPM ) package EJS(Embedded JavaScript) for successful app deployment allowing users to find, create, edit, listen and read about their favorite operas. Five Little Ducks: Used JavaScript and jQuery to manipulate Document Object Model(DOM) and advanced CSS, as well as enhanced node DOM elements when designing a children educational game helping learn to count to five. STEM Teacher, Atlanta area public schools 08/14-05/2020

• Taught computer science to highschool students and held an after-school coding Minecraft camp. Associate Professor, Texas A&M University 08/13-08/14

• Taught entry level courses with the concentration in applied data analytics for over 100 undergraduate students.

• Developed technical teaching materials and lesson plans which provided students with fundamental understating of database management and advanced analytical approaches while providing hands on experience in Python, SQL and SAS. Course contents encompassed:

Database Management:

Introduction to Structured

and Unstructured Data

Data Wrangling and

Manipulation

Introduction to Cloud

Environments (AWS)

Advanced Analytics:

Exploratory Analysis

(Aggregation, Visualization)

Statistical Modeling

(Hypothesis Testing, T-Test, Regression/Classification)

Introduction to Machine Learning Approaches

Mechanical Engineering Intern, Georgia Institute of Technology 06/09-08/13

• Participated in quantitative research and analytical study at the Mechanical Engineering research group. The focus of the research was on fabrication and optimization of microelectronic sensor that detected chemical composition of gases.

• Directly contributed to sensor design, fabrication and performance evaluation. Developed data pipelines which stored data from the electromagnetic signals generated by the sensor to SQL Server database. Analyzed sensor performance and made changes to the fabrication processes according to the results from the classification models developed in Python.

• Compiled data and created packages from available Excel files in Google Cloud Platform, wrangled them in Python and placed the clean data in the Data Warehouse to analyze data available from various types of gas sensors. Quantitative Researcher, Walden University 01/07-08/12

• Designed and conducted a dissertation research project to identify educator participation in STEM.

• Gathered data from internal and external sources and stored wrangled data on SQL Server. Leveraged advanced Excel and SQL to perform quantitative data analysis and research. Compared a given data set to the one obtained experimentally using Google Cloud Platform. Developed an analytical model in SAS to predict educator participation in STEM over the next 10 years.

EXTENDED WORK EXP8ERIENCE

Coding Researcher, Museum of Aviation Foundation, Warner Robins, GA 05/18-03/20

• Developed digital citizenship curriculum for Computer Science Fundamentals project in Code.org

• Used JavaScript to write block-based codes for Code.org

• Worked in App Lab programming environment to make simple apps. Designed an app, coded with blocks or JavaScript to make it work.

• Worked in Game Lab programming environment to make simple animations and games with objects and characters that interact with each other.

• Worked in Web Lab programming environment to make simple web pages using HTML and CSS. JavaScript Developer, Bytes & Bots,Woodstock, GA 03/17-06/17 Developed JavaScripts for Minecraf

Worked in Eclipse interface.
