Condition Monitoring Of PV System using IOT
- As we all know, for the production of electricity there are many sources of energy out of which solar energy is one such energy which is abundant and renewable in nature and the conversion of solar radiation into electricity is the most direct way to produce energy based on photovoltaic effect. Nowadays the usage of solar power is increasing day by day. There are huge hubs of solar panels. Due to dust or any other technical problems, some panels may not work properly which is very difficult for monitoring those panels manually so that we can monitor those panels automatically using Internet of Things (IOT) which stores and retrieves the data from all the sensors to the systems through internet that uses HTTP from local network to the cloud and the data can be viewed in graphical representation anywhere around the World. ThingSpeak is an IOT platform service that allows us to visualize and analyze live data streams in the cloud.12V operated solar panel will be connected to the solar panel which cleans the solar panel automatically whenever the dust is accumulated on it and when the threshold value of LDR exceeds more than 100. ESP01 is used as wifi module. Once the preferred described wifi network has got the ESP01, the sensor data from all the sensors through the ThingSpeak Internet of Things and the real time data will be displayed in the cloud graphically. With the modern monitoring and control system, these are becoming increasingly reliable sources of energy and in some years, might even replace conventional sources completely. This project aims to monitor the output of PV system, tracking of panel voltage, current, temperature, humidity, real time data of the solar system, comparing data with the previous data bases. It facilitates the preventive maintenance and fault detection.
