Key Projects

Legacy to Policy Center Conversion – Project intention is to convert Existing Policies in Legacy system to Policy Guidewire policies, Cobol – Batch, Mule, ETL technologies are used implement this project .

Legacy Application Decommission – Project intention is stop writing the insurance policies in legacy application and write the new policies in new Policy Center application. CICS, COBOL, JAVA technologies are used to implement the project.

Chrome Migration – This project was to enable all Farmers Personal Lines Business Applications via Chrome Browser.

Multi Policy Discount - Intent of the Project is to give discounts to customer who multiple policies with Farmers Insurance. The project needed the integration of MDM, MULE, CICS, COBOL, and JCL.

DocuSign – This project’s intention is to improve eSignature experience for the customer, Worked on Mainframes, web services, mule, FileNet and Salesforce to implement the project.

Auto Data Prefill - For the Farmers Auto Policy Processing system we implemented the Auto Data Prefill functionality by connecting with External Vendor LexisNexis via Web services and PtoP calls, the data we receive from vendor has a huge impact on Policy Underwriting.

Signal – Project intention is enable customer to avail discount related to driving behavior, External vendor will track the driving behavior via Phone App based on the information provided customer will be enabled to get discounts.

eSignature: eSignature project was initiated to improve the process of signing the mandatory documents by the user for the policy processing. One quick solution to the cumbersome process of signing and the scanning the documents with the help of an agent .The key features of the project were the Integration of Legacy, FileNet system with Silanis system through SOA, Forms and Image center systems to allow the customer to eSign insurance documents and access them online .

Insurance Application Maintenance and Enhancement: Lead and Represented team for multiple monthly releases, Maintenance and Enhancement projects including the changes to Premiums, Forms, State Regulations, Contingencies, Clean –ups, Addition / Removal of discounts, Endorsements, Infrastructure Upgrades .

Implemented several tools using REXX for Data download, Quick Compare, Program Compilation etc.

Implemented Test Automation scripts for Regression testing using PCOM.

Personal Umbrella Platform Redesign: Farmers Personal Lines was moving the Personal Umbrella processing from the Commercial/Advantage platforms to APPS/Express to allow an improved competitive product and quoting tool, improved Personal Umbrella data quality, automatic integration with FAB, Claims, Agencies and other downstream systems. It will also allow for a reduction in manual processing and improved responsiveness in issuance and change activity.

Customer Onboarding – Customer Onboarding to improved Customer experience by providing access to all insurance related information to the customer in one place. This allowed Customers to sign the documents, Make payments and access the insurance related documents all in one place. This gain in customer experience was essential to compete in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Project needed integration of multiple technologies like Salesforce, Informatica, FileNet, Java, Mainframes.

Project: EAE (Exclusive Agent Expansion or Eastern Expansion): Before this project implementation, Farmers does not have an insurance product available in many eastern states. With a need for significant growth in market this project was implement the Farmers latest. Auto Product FA2.0 along with Exclusive Agent channel in some of the brand new states like ‘NJ’ and as well as some of the Independent Agent channel states.

Production Application Issue Reduction: As part of this project existing issues in production are fixed as part of bi-monthly releases to improve the system stability and reliability. Per release Average of 10 defects got fixed helping in achieving the Team goal.

Production Support: Lead a team of 5 people as part of the Production Support Tier 1 team . Fixed more than 10,000 production defect reported by agents, Pro-actively fixed more than 100k policies failed in Automated system initiated transactions, Automated the defect fix procedures followed day to day by the team, worked with different teams to identify the functional issues which needs to be addressed asap . Provided guidance to the team not only regarding the Issue fixes but also towards automation and report generation.
