MAJOR PROJECT (Aug 2019– May 2020)
Project Title: Study and Analysis of numerical simulation of premixed methane flame stabilization of Micro-gas Turbine combustors with a Bluff Body Mentor: Dr Gurunath VSS Velidi, Department of Aerospace, UPES. Description: The solution for Flame blow-off at high speed in Micro-gas turbine is provided with the help of Numerical simulation in ANSYS. The Temperature and mass flow contours are provided to verify the study. A Bluff-Body is introduced in order to increase the Blow-off limit at high speed in micro-gas turbines. The study attracts UAV developers to design more efficient and long-range Drones. RISE PROJECT (Feb 2019– May 2020)
Project Title: Design and Development of low-cost 3D mapping collision avoidance system Mentor: Dr. Zozimus D. Labana, Mr. M. Raja Professor, Department of Aerospace, UPES. Description: Development of low-cost 3D mapping collision avoidance system attached to a UAV(Quad-copter). Implementation of Lidar sensors for high quality 360-degree mapping to some distance. Path planning for UAV to choose better path by avoiding obstacles. Development of Semi-autonomous UAV for better user- friendly experience.

Project Title: Design and Development of Autonomous Micro Flapping Wing Vehicle. Mentor: Dr. Zozimus D. Labana, Dr. Vindhya Devalla Professor, Department of Aerospace, UPES.
Description: Design of a flapping wing assembly for flapping of the wings. Determination of design parameter was done on the basis of trade study and MATLAB based graphical analysis of the parameter relations. The UAV has a vast area of application and future scope in Defense and Human Resource fields. The vehicle can be used as in stealth mode which helps in providing enhanced and more efficient surveillance programs.
AIAA DBF Challenge (2017-19)
Mentor: Dr. Zozimus D Labana, Department of Aerospace, UPES. Challenge: AIAA Design Build Fly Challenge has two classes: Regular and Micro. Regular Class continues to be the class with the purpose to develop the fundamental understanding of flight and the goal is to design and develop an aircraft simulating the concept of NAVY aircrafts.
Rise Project (2017-18)
Mentor: Dr. Zozimus D Labana, Dr. Vindhya Devalla, Department of Aerospace, UPES. Project Title: Development of Autonomous Micro-Sized Surveillance Vehicle. Mentor: Dr. Zozimus D. Labana, Professor, Department of Aerospace, UPES. Description: Study of Aerodynamics of Micro Flapping Wing Vehicle and Developing a Prototype to lift some payload. Also, a combination of sensors to provide stability to the vehicle and more efficient flight paths. The project is an innovative approach in the aerospace and defense field to achieve more efficient and multi- tasking UAV model.
AIAA DBF Challenge (2018-19)
Mentor: Dr. Zozimus D Labana, Department of Aerospace, UPES. Challenge: AIAA Design Build Fly Challenge has two classes: Regular and Micro.
