Respected
Sir/Madam,
As an intern teacher in her second year of PGCE
I have a strong interest in pursuing and building a meaningful teaching career. With experience working and being within the community of St. Stithians College
and the Thandulwazi Intern Programme, as well as in activities outside of the traditional classroom. I have a diverse background with much to offer. My first
classroom teaching experience was at Junior Preparatory when I first served as a Junior Prep intern in my first 2 terms within the internship(Reference: Mrs Mendy Wood: 083-***-****). In Junior Prep
I attended all lessons the children would attend and the Sesotho and isiZulu classes with the grade 1W pupils twice a week for their lessons. In third term I
was moved to the Girl’s College because of the excellent performance I had shown during the Thandulwazi Saturday School with grade 9 EMS. At the Girl’s College as an intern with Grades 8 to 12 I was exposed to observing lessons as a start. While during my observation training as a student teacher, I was exposed to various methods of teaching and ways to interact with the children and the teenage girls at the college (Reference: Mrs Rene Grobler: 076-***-****)In 2020 I am currently placed within the Boys College campus also interacting with classroom activities from grades 8-11. During my
internship, I particularly enjoyed working with the striders girl’s team as a physical activity to help boost their
academic confidance in a way that they can use to stay committed to their mental
health and emotional intelligence. I also became part of the St. Stithians Girl’s College Boarding team as a Family House Unit Assistance for the year 2020. REFERENCE FOR GIRL'S COLLEGE HOUSE BOARDING:
