MADURAI MEDICAL COLLEGE
Madurai Medical College is attached to the Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai,Tamilnadu, India. The hospital provides Tertiary care to more than twenty million people in the southern part of Tamil Nadu. The hospital was established in 1842 and became a teaching hospital in 1954. The hospital was formerly known as Erskine's Hospital. Madurai Medical College is affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University and is recognised by the World Health Organization. The Department of Anaesthesia (Centre of excellence ) comprises more than 20 senior consultants and more than 30 post graduate students every year and the this department used to call a school of anaesthesia for the programmed teaching protocols to the post graduate students in a discipline manner with real active research orientation. Early 2011,the department was renamed as Institute of anaesthesiology. This institute heading the operation rooms .There are 12 major speciality operation rooms with 5 emergency operation rooms (Total 60 operating tables) with all the super speciality under one roof. Institute has its own protocol of every week journal clubs, research publication, interesting case discussion, CME programmes. The super speciality OR run by the institute are Surgical gastro-enterology, cardiothoracic, vascular, oncology, neuro-surgery, plastic surgery, paediatric surgery. Daily operating lists will be 80-100 elective surgeries and 35 emergency surgeries. Also the institute of anaesthesiology running intensive respiratory care unit with 20 beds advanced critical care management and USG guided plus fluoroscopy guided pain clinic as well .
I did my MD anaesthesiology in this prestigious institute since 2008-2011 and got an opportunity to learn and explore my skills in anaesthesia
Actively participated in every other academic programme in the department as in-charge for the post graduate students.
I worked as executive council member in the society of anaesthesiologists Madurai city branch and I had been active member in organizing yearly CME programmes (2009-2010)

I got an opportunity to work in this institute for two years(2011-2013) at government Royapettah hospital Chennai which is a multi-speciality hospital (centre of excellence for trauma and orthopaedic surgery and institute of surgical oncology)
As started my career as junior consultant (SR/assistant professor) here soon I became as in charge for teaching faculty for the post graduate anaesthesia students and known to every one as taking cardiac complicated oncology surgeries. successfully taken pheochromocytoma open surgery and two renal transplant recipients surgeries.
Actively participated in organizing the department annual conference PREPP for post graduate students all over the state
THE MADRAS MEDICAL MISSION (NABH ACCREDITED)
In 1987, Under the patronage of Mother Theresa, this monumental edifice was inaugurated in the presence of luminaries such as Dr.Christiaan, Barnard, pioneer of the Heart Transplant from Africa, Dr.PantpisSakornpant, who has done the largest number of heart and lung transplants in Asia and doyens of the cardiac world, Dr.Dominique Metras (France), Sir Terrence English (U.K), Dr.Richard Engelmen (U.S.A), Sir Donald Ross (U.K.) and many more. Within two years (1987-1989) 1000 cardiac surgeries were completed. The Madras Medical Mission complex with 300 beds set amidst landscaped gardens that provide a serene and tranquil environment with modern hi-tech and sophisticated infrastructure, state-of-the-art technology, very high standards of cleanliness and hygiene for quaternary care has won accolades from the international community. MADRAS MEDICAL MISSION hospitals comprise various institutes like Institute of cardiovascular disease, Institute of kidney disease, urology and renal transplant, Institute of reproductive medicine and women’s health, Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and various medical departments. MMM hospital is the state of art in the field of cardiology to teach for courses under national board of examinations, as DNB cardiology& cardiothoracic surgery intervention cardiology, paediatric cardiology and cardiac anaesthesia. I got an opportunity to do my fellowship in cardiac anaesthesia under nation board of examinations from 2013-2015
During my fellowship, apart from routine adult cardiac cases, I have managed 9 dissecting thoracic aneurysm repair and 5 heart transplants, more than 700 paediatric complex cardiac surgeries.

I started my cardiac anaesthesia cum general anaesthesia career and successfully managed my first independent neonatal TGA – ASO total correction surgery. Even though I stayed for a short period in this hospital I have managed all the cardiac and thoracic surgical cases with nil mortality. My career in the field of anaesthesia was started in the year of 2008 at institute of Anaesthesiology, Madurai medical college after getting rank and selected from all India medical entrance exams. During the period of training I got experience in difficult airway management as retrograde intubation, fibreoptic intubation, blind nasal intubation etc and central neuraxial blockade for neonates and paediatric surgeries. Various upper and lower limb peripheral nerve blockades for limb surgeries. Thoracic and lumbar epidural pain analgesia for various surgeries and as post-operative pain relief, labour analgesia. Got well trained in managing mechanical ventilator support, prone ventilation etc.
CARDIAC ANAESTHESIA
My experience in the sub speciality field,cardiac anaesthesia started in 2013 at madras medical mission after the entrance exam through national board of examination India and passed the exam on 2015.During my fellowship in cardiac anaesthesia,had vast experience in managing anaesthesia for adult and paediatric complex open heart surgeries, minimally invasive cardiac surgeries, dissecting thoracic aneurysm repair, heart transplant,brain dead organ retrieval, trans oesophageal echo cardiograph assessment for cardiac surgeries, intraarterial line insertion,swan Ganz catheter,central venous line insertion etc.
