*UNIVERSAL COACH INTERIORS LLP JUNE 2020 – JAN 2021 DESIGN ENGINEER

• Receiving Input GA dimensions from ICF.

• The seating and overall trims, structure and foam design has been with GA considerations.

• The proto design has been done and getting approval from ICF for further processes.

• After getting approval, the detailed design activity has been done and further checked with railway homologation rule as per AIS023 standard.

• At last final approval from ICF the production starts and if any issue arises design modifications will be done accordingly.

*ASHOK LEYLAND TECHNICAL CENTRE APRIL 2019 – JUNE 2020 JUNIOR DESIGN ENGINEER

• Receiving styling CAS surface for Interior trims and Exterior trims parts.

• Converting B surface and closing the volume by C surface for trim parts.

• The engineering features has to be added in required areas and then the part has to be thickened.

• The parting line, tooling direction and draft analysis has to be done before signing off to the supplier

(Moulding).

• Ensured the mounting parts on dashboard with environment data the part has enough clearance with other aggregate parts.

• Heat shield of NVH is added under the engine cockpit to avoid the heat air into the driver cabin.

• Once the model has been created, drawing / drafting will be proceeding for individual parts and assembly according to the GD&T norms (ASME).

• The DMU has to be signoff from BI and VI team.

• Attachment of model and drawing from CATIA to LEAP through PLM life cycle.

• After manufacturing and quality check, if necessary, the DMU corrections will be done.

*SRILANKA MAINLINE COACHES

• After receiving the input GA parameters from the ICF, the preliminary sketch drawings for frame, foam, plastic and casting parts will be created.

• Based on those, a preliminary 3D model will be generated and will be cross verified with the input parameters and homologation rule.

• Then detailed drawing will be processed for finalizing the product.

• After getting the approval from ICF the proto will be produced and based upon the issues, the modifications will be done and product will be released.

*BUS BODY TRIMS – BS VI VEHICLE

• After getting class A surface, the design flow gets started and ends up to the part release. The creation of trim parts has been done with so many considerations and restrictions because of other neighboring aggregates and manufacturing feasibility.

• Some of the projects: Sunshine – Podest cowl Assembly and Dashboard.

• Software used: CATIA V6 (3D Experience).

*Attachable & Detachable Electrical wheel chair

• The application of this project is to move the person from one place to another for handicapped people. The technology used here is that, the attachment of electrical wheel can be attached wherever needed and as well as it can be removed easily by chain lock mechanism. The electric motor hub is placed in front wheel and so which act as driving wheel.

• Software used: NX-CAD 11.0 & PTC Creo 3.0.
