Reduced and consolidated the majority of the museum library’s backlog collection by having copy cataloged over 50% of the collection (approximately 636 out of the 1,200 items were copy cataloged into the museum’s integrated library system Sierra while using Z39.50 client software), which maximized space needed for new incoming library materials. Created over 50% of new item records by assigning call numbers and barcodes for library materials from backlog, which improved the overall efficacy of creating local call numbers from using the Clark’s local standards.

Conducted and gained some experience in web-archiving images online for a short-term project

Utilized applicable programs such as OCLC Connexion and OCLC Worldshare to complete the assigned project at hand.

Digital Divisions Specialist

Assisted the Digital Director in contributing and reviewing content to the organization’s early literacy app for its targeted audience (families with younger children, ages 0-5), which has increased visibility to the app by 35%, via downloads, which have reached over 2,000 new users, from the initial 275 users and on-going since October 2019.

Aided in promoting the app within our community outreach efforts to a major accessible channel, via local and regional public library systems, by having conceptualized and created rich content in an innovative digital resource that will allow librarians and library staff to share and promote the app within their libraries to their patrons and in other applicable venues.

Volunteer Librarian

Initiated communication with local community stakeholders and other applicable venues interested in helping to build the art center’s library collection, which resulted in the establishment of a fruitful community partnership with both the local public library system donating 118 books and a local bookstore that coordinated a book drive, which raised about $75.00 in profits and 105 books (223 books, in total), all donated to the art center.

Identified the community’s need for positive impact of having a Little Free Library within the neighborhood of where the art center’s library was located, which resulted in the approval for an Impact Little Library, which now highlights the center as being its designated marker, within the community engagement efforts of the art center.
