• Hands-on experience on various biomedical equipment. Worked with various departments and was able to get an overall understanding of the real-life responsibilities of a biomedical engineer in the healthcare sector.

PROJECTS

Human recognition using gait patterns Jul 2017 – Apr 2018

• Developed a system to recognize people based on their gait pattern. Gait patterns from 50 people are gathered from the accelerometer of the phone using an android app. The 5 main gait parameters extracted were given as input to train an artificial neural network and an SVM model to identify the person.

Robotic Cart Sept 2016 – Dec 2016

• Developed an automatic shopping cart designed to follow you around the store. The cart contains a Bluetooth module, which is paired with the phone. Also, an RFID reading for real-time billing system. Medicine Reminder System Jan 2017 – Apr 2017

• Developed an organizer cum reminder system using Atmega 328, that alerts the patient to take medicine at a stipulated time by audio and visual indications. The system was connected to the phone thus the details could be set by connecting through a phone.

Electronic Stethoscope Jun 2015 – Sept 2015

• Developed an electronic stethoscope that intakes the low-frequency heart signals through a chest piece. Using a 741 op-amp, the output ECG wave was be displayed on CRO and the heart sounds were audible through a speaker.
