Responsibilities

•Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction contractors. Maintain daily supervisory surveillance checks and records ensuring that contractor’s management and supervision are providing safe working conditions and permitting procedures, all required competent PPE, adequate supervision, and man power, well maintained equipment to execute the contracted works as per contract schedule and targets.

•Review and comments Contractor documents such as method statements, risk assessments and job safety analysis.

•Ensure that Piping construction contractors working within the discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) project drawings, Specifications, ITP’s, Procedures, and Site Instructions.

•Prepare daily reports of work progress and man power utilization.

•Manage the Tie in/Shutdown activities on site, with responsibility for several direct reports.

•Monitor contractor piping, equipment and structure activities and maintain alignment with the client's requirements and specifications.

•Monitor site material handling and preservation to facilitate construction progress and quality of materials.

•Review work and inspection results to ensure compliance with EPC Contract requirements. Interface and coordinate with Field Engineering and QA/QC.

•Participate and support in mechanical completion, pre commissioning and turnover of plant facilities.

•Maintain documentation necessary to verify that the work performed meets contractual requirements.

•Plan, manage and supervises the piping construction activities at the site including equipment and structure installation activities to till commissioning and startup.

•Review and evaluate drawing on Plan, Isometric and P&ID’s for monitoring piping fabrication and erection.

•Supervise the preparation and prefabrication erection of piping work on site. Review fabrication of spools, pipe supports against the work plan on weekly basic.

•Responsible for mechanical completions (MC) of site work.

•Responsible for test package for cleaning Activities such as Air blowing, water flushing, Lube oil flushing, chemical cleaning, and reinstatement of system for piping

•Manage the construction interfaces with other disciplines.

Responsible for timely fabrication and execution of all type steel structural work.

•Assist in arranging preparatory work to be done by start up team.

•Review the IFC drawing prior to start work. Identity the design errors and raise the queries to the client.

•Verify the As Built drawing when modification is required on the field.

•Ensure that pipe supports, hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with the piping drawing and the pipe supports details.

•Supervise and inspection of cold and hot insulation, cladding on piping and equipment.

•Prepare daily reports of work progress and man power at site

•Field inspection of work activities, surveying and measurement taking of piping system.

•Conduct safety walk through in the site in co ordination with the safety department on weekly basis.

•To attend daily/weekly progress meeting and generate status reports for the in country focal point.

•Study Engineering Documents including P&ID’s, Plot plans, General Arrangement (GA) and Isometric drawings (Including Weld Map).

•Monitor punch –list closeouts after handover.

•Issue the work permits ensuring HSE requirements.

•Cooperate with Safety Engineer to direct safety control function.

•Arrangement of material for use on site for smooth continuation of work.

•To be conversant with HS&E plan, implement the HS&E procedure ensuring the health and safety of personnel.

•Conduct safety walk through in the site in co ordination with the safety department on weekly basis.

•To attend daily/weekly progress meeting and generate status reports for the in country focal point.
