Title: Fabrication of Hybrid (Electric) Bicycle

Description:An electric bicycle is a first and foremost bicycle. It uses same designs,geometries, and components as any other bicycle. But also includes an added electric motor. This is fueled by a rechargeable battery. It gives riders an extra boost of power and provide smoother and less strenuous cycling experience. Its transmission is assisted with motor or assist with pedaling when battery dead. An electric bicycle is also known as e-bike which is integrated with electric motor for the purpose of propulsion. Application: This hybrid bicycle is light weight compared to bikes and helps to have a pollution free and healthy ride.

Title:Operation of Pneumatic system with single acting cylinder Role:Team lead

Description:In a Pneumatic system, energy is stored in a potential state under the form of compressed air. Working energy (Kinetic energy and pressure) results in a pneumatic system when the compressed air is allowed to expand. Pneumatic system uses compressed air to transmit and control energy. To perform any applicable amount of work then a device is needed which can supply an air tank with sufficient amount of air at a desired pressure. To decrease human intervention pneumatics are opted.

Application:It is used in controlling train doors, automatic production lines and mechanical clamps.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

Gave presentation on MICRO MACHINING.

Won first prize in quiz competition at SIETK Puttur.

Participated in the seminar on INNOVATIONS IN MATERIALS AND MANUFACTURING, at SIETK, Puttur.
