Nature of experience

Independent managing of all Organizational & Project QA/QC functions according to ISO 9001:2015 quality system viz. Preparation of quality manual; project/contract quality plan (PQP/CQP); Individual activity wise quality control plan (QCP/ITP); Work procedures; Welding procedures; Method statements as and when required; Organize and implementing the project QA/QC system functions; Conducting internal audits on sister projects & external audit of contractors; Reporting the audit outcomes to corporate management, Ensuring the corrective and preventive actions on time and study the effectiveness of the action taken, Conducting management review meeting for the adequacy and report feedback of QA/QC issues to the management; Conducting periodic quality meeting; QA/QC orientation to the project staffs; Establish and achieve the quality objectives / Quality policy; liaison with client’s inspectors; meeting the auditors & other third party inspectors; conducting periodic surveillance; Follow-up and close out of NCNs, CARs, or any customer complaints; Weld quality evaluation, organizing for NDT&PWHT, Conducting and witnessing welding procedure//Welder performance qualification, Organizing & witnessing of destructive tests, preparation and endorsement of PQRs & WPS, Preparation & submission of final inspection & test packages to client etc, Effectively attending all welding issues like cause and remedies to kill the issues.

Apart from the above, involved in the assessment and evaluation of third party/contractor services for their capacity to achieve quality requirements; Commenter & comment coordinator of contractor’s documents for the compliance and also served in the panel board member of recruitment campaign of QA/QC personnel & welding staffs.

Field of experience

QA/QC Engineer, Inspection engineer, Welding and Painting inspector in oilfield construction companies involved in civil, mechanical, Electrical & instrumentation activities (CMEI). Specially skilled on the technical requirements & QA/QC functions of CRA/Duplex/super duplex stainless steel pipe lines, process piping welding & related activities; Construction of GRE pipe-lines & Plant piping; Cross-country pipe lines as per design code ASME 31.4 /31.8 & Welding code API 1104; Plant piping as per design code ASME 31.3 & welding ASME sec. IX; Heavy structural as per AWS D1.1/1.4, Other process piping with exotic materials like UNSN06625 & UNSN08825 etc. Erection and alignment of Mechanical equipments, Pipeline weld joint coatings (Shrink Sleeve) & related tests such as peel test, holiday test, Underground & aboveground services painting and coating requirements; HDPE internal linings of pipe lines, HDPE geo membrane paneling. Worked as a Quality control Inspector in M/s. Indian Institution of Quality Assurance, Trichirappalli, Tamilnadu, India and I have 6 Years 6 months (May 2006 to November 2012)experience in Third party inspection for Gas pipelines and collection centre for GAIL and I have knowledge in welding metallurgy of Carbon steel; Alloy steel, Stainless steel, Nickel and Nickel Alloys.

Worked as a Quality control Engineer in M/s. INTECH, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India and I have 3 years 9 months (Jul 2002 to April 2006) experience in LPG bottling equipment and chain conveyor for Erection site at MRL, IOCL and BPCL.

Worked as a Asst. Engineer- CAD Design and Drafting in M/s. INTECH, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India and I have 6 years (May 1996 to June 2002) experience in LPG bottling equipment and chain conveyor Design, Fabrication, Installation and commissioning of MRL, IOCL and BPCL.
