JAN 2010 – OCTOBER 2015 (5 YEARS)

ORTHODONTIC HYGIENIST

Well established Orthodontic Practice at the time owned by Dr Ferreira was the start of my career. I stayed with her for 5 years until the practice was then sold due to relocation of Dr and family.

My duties included : All Orthodontic requirements that an OH can do ( wire change, debands, retainers, lab work, ceph tracing, records taking, assisting the Dr with bondings, cleaning of xray machine fluids, appointment booking and file keeping.)

NOVEMBER 2015 – JULY 2016 (8 MONTHS)

ORAL HYGIENIST + DENTAL CORODINATOR FOR MOBILE SCHOOLS HEALTH

Oral Hygienist allocated to the Nedbank sponsored Mobile Clinic bus which travelled all over the Western Cape as far as Beufort west and as near as Grabouw suppling medical services to school children of the rural areas. My duties was of Oral Hygiene on the bus IE: Polish and Fissure Sealants to prevent caries and the spread there of as well as education on Oral Hygiene.

In office I was responsible for all Dental staff problems and inquiries, stock + instrument acquiring and taking of all dental units across all the clinic busses, as well as solving maintenance problems.

SEPTEMEBR 2016 – MARCH 2020 (5 YEARS)

ORTHODONTIC HYGIENIST AT DR ABDEROOF (DENTAL + ORTHO CLINIC)

Co - partner with Dr Abderoof at the Cape Gate branch for 3 years, build the practice up from 4 patients to over 300 in treatment

DENTAL HYGIENIST ( INTERCARE DENTAL PAROW)

My duties included General Hygiene Scale and Polish and Oral health education. The practice does not do any orthodontic work or bleeching.
