TRAINING/WORKSHOP
Advanced Automobile Engineering TATA Technologies AUGUST 2019 – DECEMBER 2019
Role - Trainee
Description – From this training program, I learned about all the systems, subsystems of a vehicle, current scenario of automobile industry and the future of hybrid, fully electric and autonomous vehicles, and working mechanism of Hybrid Electric vehicles and Electric vehicles along with the vehicle integration processes and regulatory requirements. As an assessment, a small project was assigned related to the current status and future of autonomous cars.
PROJECTS
1)Design and Manufacturing of Fire Fighting Robot University Project JULY 2019 – JULY 2020
Description – The project consisted of Designing, Manufacturing and Testing of an Autonomous Fire Fighting Robot which will act as a first line of defense against fire hazards in warehouses and commercial complexes. The robot housed the various sensors and high-speed water jet nozzle system controlled by Arduino, with which it can put out the fire.
Role in the Project - I did the work in regards with analyzing existing products available in the market, with help of which I was able to design the CAD model with the CATIA (V5). Also, I did the research about the materials that can withstand high temperature caused 2
by fire hazards in order to make robot as intact as possible, which enabled me to propose selection of materials and cooling systems to be used. Along with the stress analysis done with ANSYS, furthermore, I contributed in calculations regarding power, nozzle velocity, and wheel & shaft diameters.
2)Design Criteria & Working of Autonomous Vehicles TATA Technologies DECEMBER 2019
Description – The task assigned to the group was to do the necessary research and learn about the design criteria and working, and types/levels of autonomous vehicles. Role in the Project - I did the necessary research to learn about basic design considerations in autonomous vehicles, and found out 5 levels of Autonomous vehicles, which consisted of technologies like SONAR, RADAR, and LiDAR and proposed the ways of using autonomous vehicles in a densely populated country like India with some advancements to them.
SEMINARS
Maglev – Overview and Application University Seminar APRIL 2019
Description – Through this seminar preparation, I learned about magnetic induction, existing maglev trains, and the types of rail and suspension systems along with the usage of magnetic levitation in transportation industry. Also, I managed to get to know with the current applications of magnetic levitation, challenges and possible future enhancements.
