I am enthusiastic, disciplined and well-motivated in my work and I enjoy learning new skills as I am well versed in working with international organisations (NGOs). I have gained experience in various sections over a period with companies that are internationally based and have branches in Uganda. As a safety-conscious professional I always inspect and maintain company vehicles by assessing oil, water, and gas levels before departure. You will find me to be someone who will always represent your organization maintaining a healthy relationship with the members of staff and clients. I worked as the transport personnel within NGOs such as GIZ Projects Uganda, PROFIRA plus VODP and my role helped me to travel around Uganda.

I have had the opportunity to work on different projects in Uganda e.g in the Northern regions which projects were in locations like, Acholi, Lango, West Nile, Karamoja areas and we also had projects in the Central, Western plus Eastern parts of the country. Apart from being the transportation personnel, I also had administrative roles which involved working with the procurement and preparation teams for travel routes and programs after gaining my Diploma in Procurement and Logistics.

2016 – 2019. International Institute of Rural Reconstruction – Transportation Personnel. This being my second opportunity to work with international companies, I had the chance to work and travel the whole country. I also had administrative roles and these included being involved in procurement, preparation of travel routes and programs together with overseeing maintenance of the vehicles plus vehicle logging.

I also had other office duties like procuring office equipment, road restraint procedures, planning the shortest and safest route, co-operating and associating with different kinds of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

At this point unfortunately, the entire world has been dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic and this has come along with a lot of job cuts and lack of opportunities hence the gap in my CV. 2014 – 2016. Docks Tours and Safaris Uganda – Transportation officer. Having gained vast knowledge with Uganda Experience Safaris, I was able to apply my skills to my new role and this pushed my capabilities to meet my daily responsibilities. With these new responsibilities I had to travel and take clients to Rwanda and Kenya, my role now involving long distance drives. This required me to learn about other country rules and traffic regulations in different regions within East Africa. I had to oversee the safety of the clients and maintenance of the company vehicles that we had used especially when out of the country.

2007 – 2012. Uganda Experience Safaris – Transportation Personnel and Administrative Assistant. My responsibilities were to drive tourists from one location to another within different parts of the country while making sure that the tourists are taken to and from the airport. Once the tourists have confirmed with the company and their arrival dates booked, I had the responsibility to book hotels and locations where they would be visiting. I also had the responsibility of managing other transport operators and maintenance of the cars within the company.

The wellbeing and safety of the drivers was my duty plus making sure that their responsibilities are met and on time, as time keeping was one of the company’s regulations, so it was vital. 2006 – 2007. Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) – Transportation Personnel. This was the opportunity I got to work for an organisation for the first time. I was assigned the engineer I would be working with. My role involved making sure that he gets to his location on time and his transportation needs were being met as my instant availability was key for him to meet his daily goals and responsibility.

2004 -2006. EUROPE Car International – Transportation Personnel. In this role, I was given the responsibility of driving clients from one location to another within different parts of the country. Their wellbeing and safety plus getting to their designated location was my main responsibility when they were within my care. 2002 – 2003, Hilltop Enterprises Limited. Administrative Assistant. I was tasked with maintenance of the locations and in charge of the project records. I had to make sure that the areas or locations were kept clean and the members of staff were supervised daily. My daily routines involved reporting back to my manager, reviewing reports for the day, giving feedback from the field and receive new instructions for the following week. 2000 – 2001. FINCA Seed Processing Company. Office Attendant. I worked as an office attendant and the roles involved taking notes, assisting my manager in the day- to-day running of the business which included typing and photocopying any documents assigned to me.
