Key Deliverables - Role entails managing HR procedures for employees and recruiting for various Manpower requirements of various departments at Dainik Bhaskar Corp Limited on CPH2 level. Having overall responsibility for the recruitment polices of the company and also the welfare of the staff. Also managing the information held on the HR database and personnel files to ensure it is updated in a timely and accurate manner. Ensuring that all procedures comply with the Data Protection Act. Working on PeopleSoft (ERP).

Designation : Assistant Manager - HR

Responsibilities : Handling the following tasks:

Talent Acquisition & Retention

To Be an interface between the Corporate HR teams, Top Management & Operations Teams

Ensuring implementation of HR initiatives by all employees such as POF, Open Forums & PMS, roll out of Satisfaction surveys, etc.

Ensuring data to the MIS team is submitted on schedule and resolves issues, if any

To be a part of the IJP panel for selection of candidates

Facilitating information flow to the recruitment team on TBA replacements

Building effective vertical and horizontal communication channels

Regularly liaising with Corporate HR teams (HR Operations, HR MIS and HR Development) and other support functions like finance, administration etc.

Formulating long term plans for the development and motivation of Teams in Operations

Assisting the Training team in the implementation of training program initiatives

Ensuring regular audits are conducted for the following areas: Leave /PMS /Gallup

To have clear understanding of the functioning and hierarchy of each department.

Ensuring that only the best candidates with the right qualifications, skills and experience are employed.

Writing informative job descriptions.

Liaising closely with trade unions, employee representatives and solicitors.

Drafting offers of employment and promotion.

Providing guidance to work colleagues and senior company management on all employment matters.

Salary and Compliances

Salary & Compensation (Payroll) centric HR operations including statutory requirements and compliances like ESI, PF.

Responsible for preparation & finalization of salaries for the entire staff at DB & at RCOM. Also responsible for full and final settlement of left employees.

Employee Relations

Responsible for HR Operations, including employee relations.

Decision Making, identifying and resolving queries on a day to day basis.

To interface with management across Business units to ensure the needs of the business area are met

Manage attrition, retention and satisfactions levels.

Secures various ad-hoc reports, on a routine basis, also processes requests for special reports as needed.

Handle all queries, grievances and escalations from employees of all the levels and ensure the same are resolved within committed timelines

Managing events as per the Calendar and executing them as per the budget/zero budget.

Employee Growth

Adherence to norms specified by Gallup & specifications as per the various HR Policies.

Framing KRAs for the Local teams as per the mutual consent and discussion.

Ensuring Teams and Team Leaders are aware of HR policies and procedures.

Assisting Team leads in preparing development plans for their team with a suitable plan of action.

Ensuring Team Leads have prepared and documented development plans for their team.

Counselling employees in any problems that they face.

Providing resolutions to any kind of conflicts by being accessible when an employee has any grievance that requires HR intervention.

Conducting regular Open Forums to ensure open communication and devise an action plan to address issues/ concerns raised by the team.

Responding and resolve issues arising out of work or from within a team or across departments that may have a bearing on team effectiveness.

Need-based escalation of decisions and ensure proper follow-up of the same.
