Bursary Administration Intern

Responsibilities:

Provide all administrative support in the bursary office. Effective implementation and maintenance of bursary process. Capturing bursary applications on the spreadsheet and assist with drafting of bursary allocation letters for new intake. Inform bursary holders about the outcome of their applications. Provide relevant information to successful candidates for completing and make follow ups with students on outsourcing developments. Update database bursary (ITS) on Trimester,semester and yearly enrollment. Respond to busary related queries from external and internal stakeholders. Do follow-ups and verification of student bursary documentation (ID, income, affidavit, agreement forms etc). Liaison with registry clerk regarding student accounts and results, follow up and administer academic progress of bursary, compiler, reconciliation, research and presentation of status/annual reports. Capture and update tuition and allowances (books, transport, accommodation and meals) on ITS. Maintains student files and database ensuring data integrity.

Management of student payment and debtors. Assisting in managing the bursary departments budget. Keep record of students progress and update monthly expenditure report on bursary. Implement the process of payments through finance and keep record of payments processed. Assist students with interpretation of the bursary policy and inform the students about consequences of breaching thr bursary contract. Develop and maintain filing system.
