Sasol Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, South Africa – Khewija Engineering & Construction (Previous KBR) January 2018 to Present

SHE Specialist

HSE Lead of project team responsible for overseeing the construction of Replacement of 056TK-1501 Tank Farm West Project. Site construction and installation of an API 650 tank (056TK-1501) of diameter of 17.5m and a height 13.98m. Including sundries such as tank nozzles, staircases, handrails and platforms, external roof and internal floating roof.

Provision of scaffolding for access to elevated positions during construction. Installation of tank process pipelines ranging from 2” to 6” lines, including pipe supports. Tie-ins for above mentioned process lines to existing tank farm piping, as well as the required utility tie-ins (15 tie- ins in total)

NDE’s (including X-rays) on the piping and tank.

Pressure testing of piping.

Field painting of piping.

Sandblasting and painting of the tank internally and externally. Stand test of the tank and floating test of the internal floating roof. Transportation and crane services required to execute the abovementioned activities. The design shall make provision for vortex breakers. Utilities

Tie-ins to instrument air for the operation of control and shut-off valves. Hot tap on the tank farm nitrogen header for supply of blanketing feed to the tank (4” pipeline, approximately 255m long)

Fire water tie-in for tank sprinkler system and deluge system (4” pipeline) Responsible for monitoring HSE compliance for all contractor on site
