Screen, assess and treat swallowing disorders (roughly 90% of total caseload), cognitive-linguistic disorders, motor speech, and acquired speech-language disorders in inpatient and outpatient setting. Completed clinical swallow evaluations, video swallow studies (MBSS), cognitive-linguistic evaluations, speech-language evaluations on inpatient medical, surgery, critical care, intensive care unit patients, and outpatient clinic in a level 1 trauma center facility with 171 staffed beds. Active interdisciplinary collaboration with OT, PT, DO, MD, RN, Dietician. Selected and implemented appropriate evidence-based practice treatment interventions including generalization and compensatory strategies. Upon referral, performed evaluations of speech, language, pragmatic and hearing difficulties. Made preliminary diagnosis and developed provided culturally sensitive diagnostic and treatment services to children aged 1-18 with congenital and acquired diagnosis of speech, language, fluency, literacy, pragmatic and apraxia in individual and group setting on site and teletherapy. Developed skills for conducting effective screenings and evaluations, including the ability to administer, score and interpret standardized tests and screening instruments, the ability to write clinical evaluation reports, and the ability to generalize appropriate recommendations based on results. Active interdisciplinary collaboration with OT, teachers, SPED teachers, MD, PA-C. Utilized Fusion to write customized speech-language reports and document services.
