I enjoy being able to greet customers for the first time whether that is through a conversation over the phone or as they walk through the front door. DENTAL ASSISTANT; THE PEDIATRIC DENTAL STUDIO;

I was very fortunate to be placed at The Pediatric Dental Studio for my externship program with Dr. Rose. Once my externship had ended, I was hired on to be a part of the wonderful team. Everyday was extremely rewarding, knowing we were going to make a difference in a child’s life and his/her family. Since Dr. Rose is a specialist, children were referred to us on a daily basis statewide with conditions that made what I did so much more satisfying, rewarding, and so much joyous. At The Pediatric Dental Studio, I worked as part of the Office Administration. My duties were answering phones, scheduling patients for clinic visits, verifying insurance and collecting deductibles or co pays for the visit. The office is extremely busy, so customer service is always number one. The days Dr. Rose was performing procedures at the hospital, and we did not see patients in clinic; we were calling the schedule and confirming appointments for the following week along with verifying benefits. Not only was I part of Office Administration, but, as a Dental Assistant I worked chair side performing rubber cup or toothbrush prophylaxis, radiographs, and also made sure we had current medical history on file. Once completed, I would then report to Dr. Rose how the patient's hygiene was during the cleaning and any problems the patient may have had at home as well as any findings from radiographs. During the intra oral exam, I charted any findings as well as what Dr. Rose may have communicated to patients’ parents regarding any issues and possible treatment 1

options if needed. On our non patient days, I would then transfer everything documented on the paper chart to the patients' notes in the computer system. CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT & RADIOLOGY

At Tullos Chiropractic, I performed all types of duties on a daily basis. As a certified Chiropractic Assistant, I assisted patients with various types of conditions. Some of my duties were placing patients if needed anything from electrodes to decompression, or assistance with synergy therapy, took x-rays, and corresponded with the Doctors regarding treatment plans. I was cross trained to work in the front office to schedule patients, answer phones, verify insurance, pre-authorizations, and to refer patients out for other services, collected payments, and to enter the notes from the Doctors. This was a very busy and fast-paced clinic and not a whole lot of space, that required me to be knowledgeable and efficient in all aspects of the clinic for it to run as smoothly as possible.

I was licensed through Tullos Chiropractic as a Certified Chiropractic Assistant and I was also received certification through the state of Mississippi as Radiology Technician. I have completed two of the three DANB tests required for the state of Mississippi and received certificates. I am BLS certified and a member of the American Dental Assistants Association. I perform well under pressure and I work well with high volume of patients. I believe that I am a pleasant person whether that is greeting patients as they come in, working chair side or greeting current our future patients over the phone. I have a very friendly personality, I communicate well with others, and I am a team player. Most importantly, I am able to have fun with the patients and in return they are more at ease with me.
