CAREER DEVELOPMENT

May 2013 – Current: Self - employed manufacturer’s representative servicing the PCB/assembly/graphic imaging industries representing FujiFilm USA/NGS LLC photo tool products and equipment.

September 1999 – May 2013: Technical Account Executive servicing PCB manufacturers and screen printers throughout Southern California for National Graphic Supply (NGS), 2431 Zanker Road, San Jose CA. 95131. There, I doubled sales from $35,000 month to over $90,000 while maintaining a 36% gross profit. I grew the account base from 19 to over 70 accounts. My major product line was the FujiFilm Imaging system.

May 1997 – August 1999: National Accounts Representative for Printing Developments Inc. (PDI), 2010 Indiana St., Racine, Wisconsin 53405 focused exclusively on selling bi-metal printing plates to offset packaging printers nationwide.

May 1995 – April 1997: Technical Sales Rep. for the Richards & Ellis Graphics Group, Carlstadt, NJ selling printing plates, film and proofing materials to commercial printers in the metro NY area.

May 1993 – April 1995: Metro NY Manager/Key Account Manager for Polychrome Corporation, div. Sun Chemical, Bridge Plaza South, Ft. Lee, NJ 07024. There I managed a direct sales staff of six selling offset plates, image setting film, and printing solutions to commercial printers throughout metro NY & NJ.

July 1991 – April 1993: Eastern Regional Technical Account Manager for PDI, Racine, WI. There I sold bi-metal printing plates to magazine, direct mail, and newspaper insert printers from Maine to Virginia. I was awarded “Salesman of the Year” for my work in 1991.

May 1988 – June 1991: Western Regional Sales Manager for PDI, Racine WI, responsible for selling bi-metal printing plates from Southern California to Denver, CO. and points North. By the end of 1991 my sales represented 21% of all gross sales. My primary target market was heat set web printers like RR Donnelly, World Color Press, Anderson Lithographic, Treasure Chest Advertising (today known as Vertis).

July 1986 – April 1988: Los Angeles Branch Manager for Polychrome Corp., 580 Monterey Pass Road, Monterey Park, CA. 91754 There, I managed a sales & distribution staff of (6) salesmen, (4) CSRs and (2) warehouse employees. My annual sales budget was $6.4 million and my net contribution was $900,000. We had record sales months in September 1986 & March 1987.

July 1983 – June 1986: Oklahoma City Branch Manager, for Polychrome Corp., 600 West Wilshire Blvd., OKC, OK 73118. There, I helped turn around a branch sales/distribution center that was in decline. I managed (3) salesman (1) CSR and (1) warehouse employee and set two consecutive annual sales records! My CSR also won “Employee of the Year” for Polychrome in 1985.

September 1981 – June 1983: Assistant Branch Manager for Philadelphia Branch, Polychrome Corp., Bensalem, PA., 19020. There, I was responsible for developing the P/L sales & expense budget; team sell with each salesman; help with product installations & training; resolve customer service issues and manage the tech. center.

May 1979 – August 1981: Technical Sales Representative, Short Hills Branch, Polychrome Corp., Morris Turnpike, Short Hills, NJ 07078. My efforts there rebuilt a neglected sales territory billing less than $7,000 a month to over $33,000 month.

I was promoted into the management development program in the summer 1981. I completed the Dale Carnegie Sales Course during this time.

October 1978 – April 1979: Sales Representative for General Binding Co., Northbrook Ill in their Wayne, NJ office. There, I sold binding and laminating equipment throughout Essex & Hudson Counties, NJ. I completed Xerox Level I & Level II Sales Training while working for General Binding Corp.

July 1977 – September 1978: Department Manager for Lord & Taylor, Memorial City Mall, Houston, TX. There, along with (5) other department managers from NY, we opened this 125,000 sq.ft. store in October 1977.

November 1976 – June 1977: New York Assistant Buyer, Women’s Shoes, Lord & Taylor,

5th Avenue, NY, NY. There, I was responsible for running the NY “claims” & vendor returns inventory. I sold on the floor during the busy periods during lunch hours, weekends, and holidays.
