Accomplishments

My career in technology began in 1998. The endless series of challenges and opportunities provided in the technology field have proven to be extremely satisfying. From my earliest days as an entry level technician all the way to today, I have demonstrated a desire to learn and grow while amassing a formidable portfolio of successfully completed projects. Some projects that I have executed include:

● Established highly productive relationships with venue management teams.

● Became the trusted technology advisor to venues and offices within the midwestern and mid-Atlantic regions of the USA.

● Diagnosed and remediated performance and connectivity issues within venues and offices of varying sizes and complexity.

● Achieved a budget savings of $250,000 for one large scale technology project by creating strategic alliances with multiple external vendors and service providers.

● Reduced annual operating costs for venues within my region by $800,000 by reviewing and eliminating redundant telecommunications costs.

● Increased profitability within my region by providing support resources from multiple internal technical teams to venues with the goal of increasing network uptime and reliability.

● Managed the implementation of internet connections at various organizations from initial sizing and scoping all the way to service delivery.

● Lead project to migrate on-premises servers to Microsoft Azure.

● Lead project to implement SAML identity management system.

● Designed and implemented a public WiFi mesh network providing 99% coverage of a 1.25 million square foot facility utilizing Meraki hardware. This required extensive coordination and cross communication with numerous departments and contractors.

● Managed the selection and implementation of a new ticket sales and CRM system, the cornerstone of revenue generation for the museum.

● Managed the design and implementation of new network core infrastructure utilizing Meraki hardware.

● Managed the implementation of a Nasuni hybrid cloud NAS system.

● Created an agile engineering team from three disparate groups.

● Managed the implementation of Single Sign On services for Microsoft Office 365.

● Re-engineered enterprise backup infrastructure to reduce operating expenses.

● Managed implementation of a voice over IP system using Asterisk FreePBX.

● Worked closely with facilities departments to coordinate installation of low voltage and high voltage systems to support network and datacenter operations.

● Assembled catalog of previously non-existent technical documentation for telecom and network infrastructures.

● Created centralized repository of documentation that was searchable and readily accessible from anywhere allowing for immediate responses by technicians and engineers.

● Managed transition of Cisco network stack to Meraki.

● Implemented Pivot3 hyper converged VMware cluster.

● Audited and inventoried equipment and service contracts to create a catalog of support contracts and vendor support contacts in many institutions. Compiling this knowledge closes information gaps and allows for increased financial efficiency and enhanced service levels. Experience
