Coordinate operations in a busy rail yard setting for one of the foremost transportation companies in the U.S.
Supervise and guide teams of 12-15, assigning work orders and other duties to ensure seamless workflows, delegating tasks to ensure timely completion
Manage workers’ activities, including Signal, Switch and Brake Operators
Assess work orders and liaise with employees across shifts to respond to daily needs in the most comprehensive manner possible; prioritize work and process orders to keep operations as conducive to efficiency as possible
Schedule the movement of freight cars allow for suitable loading positioning; also inspect train cars to confirm safety and check that each one is connected to the correct cars before station departure
Engage actively in daily corporate conference calls with clients and internal management staff
