Information Delivery Network (IDN) is one of the largest portfolios in American Express. This Data Warehouse holds almost 100 TB customer related data. Credit card business is always a risky one. Who is the right customer in terms Credit worthiness, who may default are all very critical factors to run this business. IDN DW collects different feeds about the customers, market condition, payment pattern, and fraud data from different sources. Then load them into IDN DW using Informatica ETL. There are number of data marts runs on this DW. Micro Strategy is being used to generate reports, which are used by the executives to analyze the risk factor posed by the credit card holders.

In order to generate the business reports from the data available in the existing system (Phoenix) and new application (Fiserv) Ameriprise has decided to build a Reporting database. The Client STAR program has been incorporated with multiple projects to accomplish the objective by retrofitting the Fiserv product suit in the existing environment.
