-I worked as a waiter at ocean breeze, in banqueting, Lingela and Panorama bar. At these restaurants and the banqueting department I helped with serving the guests and assisting them if they needed anything. In the banqueting department and at Panorama bar I took orders and served guests they food and beverages.
-At Panorama bar I worked as a bartender as well. I gained a lot of knowledge during that time like how garnishes should be cut and how it should be garnished for each cocktail. While working as a bartender I learnt how to make different cocktails, how to serve alcohol, make virgin cocktails, and wine.
-I worked as a room service waiter in Maharani and Elangeni. I assisted in setting up trays and putting orders together. As a girl we weren’t allowed to go up to rooms for our own safety, whenever I was done a male waiter went to the room with the order. At the end of the day I used to help clear floors and once I was back I helped reset trays for next shift.
-I worked in the hub. In that time I learnt how to use opera and micros. I also assisted with stock take.
-I worked at the coffee shop, I helped making orders. They taught me how to make hot beverages and how to serve them as well. They also taught me how to enter the order on the system, as well as how to close orders.
-I worked as a waiter for 2 big events in banqueting. One was a Gala dinner at sky venue in maharani and the second event was a breakfast at SSEM Great Illanga. So I gained event credits.
