PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES, Bangkok, Thailand 2018 – 2019 Datacom Engineer
In a project-based environment, implemented client-requested changes to the IP-RAN (Radio Access Network) portion of customers’ carrier networks. Each project included preparation, network analysis, operation planning, and generation of a request for change document that was presented to client for approval. Notable projects and their results included:
Network Capacity Expansion: Remotely integrated router configuration in the IP-RAN aggregation and access layers in partnership with on-site subcontractor as part of a company-wide project to upgrade 5,000 devices. Additionally, upgraded link capacity via port migration and upgraded the SFP transceiver module from 1G to 10G. Served as the leader of the initiative’s 10-member project team.
– Team upgraded more than 4,000 routers in just 6 months, 80% of the total devices earmarked.
IP-RAN New Site Integration: Selected to take ownership of an entire network database for a client in Laos from a senior engineer and manage the entire project remotely. Implemented the configuration of a freshly installed router in a new IP-RAN network along with all additional requirements and applied all updates to the network’s configuration generator.
– Commissioned 200+ sites in 3 months while simultaneously handling 2 other projects and documenting a standard integration guideline.
SYMPHONY COMMUNICATION, Bangkok, Thailand 2017 – 2018 NOC Engineer
Hired to monitor and troubleshoot incidents with customers’ high-speed communication networks, including root- cause analysis, dispatch of field personnel, and client notification. Also served as a contact center for domestic and international corporate accounts, with a focus on international clients due to English fluency.
Enabled team to achieve performance efficiency of 200% to 300% on busy, high-pressure days by assigning a clear role to each team member and carefully coordinating shift members’ work. ERICSSON, Bangkok, Thailand 2015 – 2016
Radio Frequency Engineer
Brought on board, as a new college graduate, to optimize cellular network radio frequencies in the Thailand East region by tracking customer complaints, then analyzing radio issues via coverage plots, cell KPIs and drive test results. Provided a wide range of solutions, including antenna adjustments, parameter changes, new site proposals, and repeater upgrade/repair/replacement. Additionally charged with clearing a backlog of nearly 100 cases, many of which were in jeopardy of breaching their 30-day resolution deadline.
Performed at 150% of weekly target (~8 cases per day compared to the average of 4 to 5 cases) for 2 months and cleared the entire backlog assigned—with minimal deadline breaches—by working extra hours and getting advice from senior team members.
