Responsibilities:

Working as a Head in Commissioning and operation, conditioning & monitoring of water treatment plant in our 120mw power plant (having 300 Cu.m. /hr capacity DM Plant, 260 cu.m/hr. capacity softening Plant).

Identifying the critical parameters stages of the process: controlling, monitoring & steering the critical identified parameters.

Responsible to process, plan, organize & conduct laboratory evaluations and field trials for alternative treatment chemicals.

Calculation as per system requirement and dosing chemical.

Maintain the quality of steam water, cooling water, all process water & also the system as per plant requirement.

Daily report preparation and report to plant head.

Good operating Experience with sludge De watering equipment like Decanter and Belt filter Press.

Well conversant with effluent and raw water, RO Plant operation including chemical cleaning of membranes.

Hands on Experience in operating Chlorine dioxide generator and dosing.

Good experience in trouble shooting and taking action against organic fouling in anion bed.

Total lab set-up. To look after plant and lab activities and maintain all parameters within the Pollution Control Board norms.

Guide the chemists to ensure the required parameters of all steam, water and Coal (moisture, ash, GCV & LOI of Ash)

Indent the required materials through SAP, HANA, Maintain the stock, production and consumption of water and chemicals.

Bill verify & entry through SAP and Planning to minimize the cost.

Ensures the following of 5S & EHS policies according to Vedanta quality norms.

Following the Vedanta safety standards (VSS) for any of work.

Looking after the power plant safety as a safety captain.

Looking after the power plant resource use & waste management as the Environment champion.

Project handled:

Boiler wet preservation and hydro-test, boiler chemical cleaning (alkali boil out), waste water plant commissioning, cooling water system commissioning, DM Plant commissioning and operation, steam water analysis system commissioning etc.

Other Skills:

Knowledge of Windows operating system (Windows10), Internet.

Knowledge of SAP & HANA.

Completed MBRD (Making Better Risk Decision) certificate training from VEDANTA.

A certified Integrated Management System Internal Auditor for ISO 9001,14001 & 45001 from IRCA.
