Diagnosis and treatment of complications during pregnancy according to protocols: bleeding, hypertension, premature rupture of membrane, threatened preterm delivery, interuterine fetal death, bacterial infection, viral infection, etc.
Referral of woman with complicate pregnancies that require higher level of monitoring during pregnancy and special precaution during delivery as per protocol.

Birth Center Birth:
Monitor labor properly..Perform labor and birth that adheres to proper safety protocol.
Ensure safe practice for woman and chi luring birth, including early recognition for need to transport to higher level care.

Refer delivery cases, which are beyond the capacity the birth center. Write referral letter with treatment.

Take mother’s vital signs.
Perform clinical examination of the mother: check breast, lochia and peroneum.
Assist uterine involution.
Check for postpartum complications: hemorrhage, puerperal infection, uterine infection, fever.
Provide information on contraception and prescribe contraceptive if desired.
General examination of the neonate: Check temperature, weight, head circumference and condition of cord.
Look for danger signs or illness, e.g: infection, birth injury.
Perform newborn exam and gestational age assessment.
Administer Vitamin K when required.
Discuss immunization of neonate (BCG, OPV,Hepatitis B)
Encourage breastfeeding.
Well Woman Care/STI Screening/Family Planning
Provide effective diagnosis or history for patients with STIs (and their partners) according to protocols.
Educate self-breast exams, healthy diet, exercise, etc.
Counsel all women in reproductive age on pregnancy prevention and contraceptive method or pre- conception counseling.
Administer contraceptive medication, if desire.
