Major Projects and Professional Experience:
Sr. Project and Program Manager, multiple data center construction and build-out projects.
Delivered on time and within budget multiple data center construction and build out projects. Project were world-wide in scope (in one instance 35 large facilities outside of North America). Worked with and managed the contributions of construction and architectural specialists, environmental engineers, electrical and HVAC engineers, and facilities designers. Acted as corporate representative to the general contractors. Managed vendor selection, delivery, and performance measurements. Made frequent reports to executive leadership on project / build scope, schedule, and budget factors. Worked to mitigate project changes including developing problem solutions and gaining consensus / approvals for implementation.
Sr. Project Manager, standup of new $1 billion specialty drug pharmacy service; Prime Therapeutic
Directed the creation and continuation of reporting services in support of the rapid (90 day) stand-up of a new specially drug pharmacy operation. Reports required by pharmaceutical companies, the US-FDA & US-DEA, and multiple state regulator entities were fully available on Day One of the new business operation. Reports specifically addressed supply chain and patient compliance & utilization tracking for high-value / high-cost drugs including biological therapies with limited transport and shelf life. Led development of internal supply chain management (S&OP and then quickly moving to SIOP) methods and disciplines for the management of pharmaceutical inventories and deliveries. Worked to corporate standards for Data Governance & Management and Data Lifecycle management. Worked to CMS standards for Medicare & Medicaid eligibility determination, claims management / claims processing, and ICD-10 implementation. Staff managed included 12 local (US) report developers and DBA development staff. Budgetary responsibility >$500k.
Sr. Project Manager, Multiple Acquisition / integration efforts, Healthcare Management; Optum
Managed multiple (8 total in one year) acquisitions of small ($5-10 million) medical data management companies. Directed the integration of external data sets into existing Enterprise platforms. Ensured that corporate and HIPAA privacy and data integrity requirements were continuously monitored and executed. Worked to CMS standards for Medicare & Medicaid eligibility determination, claims management / claims processing, and ICD-10 implementation. Staff managed included 10 in the US (Central and Pacific time zone) plus an additional 25 off-shore in India. Total budget managed was $4mm yearly.
Sr. Project & Program Manager, $1 billion division divestiture, financial / insurance; Zurich Insurance
Managed the information systems work streams necessary for divestiture from former ownership group and acquisition / integration by new ownership group. Created and directed multiple working groups to handle hardware infrastructure, database, and data exchange / ETL issues. Ensured that general ledger, HR, email / calendaring, external internet presence, and national networking changes were made at the time of ownership change. Established aggressive internal program to maintain compliance with corporate and Federal regulations. Heavily involved in tactical operations and strategic planning including enterprise-level yearly budget planning. Managed divestiture team of 15 front-line SME staff plus an additional 10 at the legacy parent company. Managed local divestiture/acquisition IT budget >$1mm.

Implemented multiple service management, asset management and intrusion detection systems at three hyper-scale data centers. Replaced multiple, diverse systems and manual methodologies with centrally managed scan and repository appliances. Successfully managed security considerations including focused firewall and router rule sets. Validated and collated data into customized management reports and dashboards and provided management analysis for further action. Sr. Project Manager, national technical refresh of retail banking technology; US Bank
Managed and executed a national technical refresh of retail banking technology for a top-5 bank corporation. This included the establishment of a design and support lab supporting 8 standard branch layouts, development of shipping and inventory procedures covering 50,000 line items of equipment, and the scheduling of over 3600 locations. Direct staff supervision of 25 front line SME plus budget responsibility for overall program (> $1mm).
