●Keeping Immunizations current and up-to-date using states mandates and guidelines and performing mandatory reporting every fall and submitting reports for immunization audits the state does.
●Vision, hearing, and spinal screening for state mandated grade levels of PK4-7th grades.
●Management and clinic oversight of 500 students and 200 staff members. Sole medical provider for 700 people.
●Budget maintenance, supply management and maintenance (playground and field trip backpack maintenance, defibrillator checks monthly) ordering of clinic supplies.
●Use of STARS clinical documentation software as well as use of all Microsoft applications and Google applications. Computer, multi-line phone, radio, fax machine, and printer used daily.
●Chronic Disease management by dispensing medications daily and intake of medications provided from families and use of monitoring devices such as diabetic monitoring devices.
●Drafted and implemented policy for the school using National and State standards and guidelines.
●Community assessment of sickness/disease to help determine the overall health of the school and help make the decision to close based on percentage of enrollment out on any given day.
●Email or social media blasts regarding health promotion ideas or outbreaks of certain illnesses affecting the school, as well as pertinent screening dates.
●Interview, screen and coordinate schedule of potential volunteer and/or substitute nurses.
●Current Health Professional CPR/1st Aid/ AED certified.
●Pediatric, Adult, and geriatric populations were cared for when circulating and scrubbing surgical cases.
●Use of Surgi-Net computerized charting system.
●Successful defense of RN III clinical ladder packet
●Neuro/Spine service line coordinator. Included in this position is maintenance and changing of preference cards, making sure all surgery packs and trays were updated and missing items replaced, calling reps before scheduled procedures to make sure their product was approved and would be available, and making sure all positioning equipment is functional and in good repair.
